| Just missing the heart and desire of the hungry Fax pack now.
Dont worry though Charlie Im only half joking, your pack has obviously let you down this season and as people have said I agree I would get rid of Moi Moi and Hock, probably not cheap but both liabilities. It is certainly going to be interesting how so many egos get on together because most of them didnt seem to work at Salford and as I have said elsewhere it could be either a master stroke or a total disaster. Its a pity someone like Sarsfield isnt a bit bigger because even as he is he would probably do a better job than a couple of the big names that will get in before him. It seems its all about the names at the minute for DB as he copies Marwan Koukash but its interesting to hear MK say he is going in the other direction.

| Moi Moi was well off the pace yesterday, so many times after a tackle is was left on the floor at the ruck.
Hock also looked like is head was not screwed on. It was one of those day when he gives away more than he creates. He did look unfit so maybe a preseason will sort that out.
Higham still looks good a really leader around the park.

I'm worried about the backs though, who will make way for Rangi?I can still see Ryan playing at 7,where will it leave Riddy, and what about Ben Reynolds?I've no doubt Higson and Jonny Pownall are great for the Championship ,but for me not SL wingers ,it's a catch 22 ,do we go all out again next season, or rotate the Squad ,depending on who we are playing.?
I'm also a bit worried about the signings, while I'm very excited at the quality, can we afford them off average gates of 3000 -3500,or does anybody think the crowds will go up substantially to 4500 to offset the money being paid out?'"
'Charlie' I agree it's a 'Catch 22', in that our coach/team go all out to win all the games, and he has to ensure a place in the Qualifiers - hence picking his 'strongest' team every week.
However, in his post-match interview on Radio Manchester, his main/only public reason for our (late season) failure, was that we are 'a broken team' with seven players needing ops. Maybe more squad rotation would have eased that problem? At the start of the season, we had a huge squad, but let many go out on loan, to give them meaningful game time, and presumably ease the wage bill. Perhaps, for example, if Reynolds had been rotated more with Ridyard and Brierley, they wouldn't have been as jaded as they were in recent weeks, and Reynolds would have been more familiar with stepping into Ridyard's boots, when Martyn was injured?
Also, I do hope the 'broken team' explanation wasn't the only reason our coaching team picked up on, for our implosion during the Qualifiers!

Alan ,in my opinion we should go out to win every game every season, I just think in some games no disrespect to the teams like Donny and Hunslet we could have maybe played a few of the younger players like Sam Peet and Jamie Tracy given them a bit of experience and game time and saved a few quid on the wage bill, at times last season I counted up to 8 players sat in the West Stand in suits,I think our Squad was top heavy and think it will be reduced next season ,not to save money but to pay other players wages.
I'm hoping our crowds increase next season to pay for the new players, but will they increase by the right amount? We have a diehard fanbase of around 2500 can we get another 2000-2500 to come through the gates I hope so.

| Ruddy and Ryan aren't jaded they are just playing behind a dominated pack and Ryan especially hasn't got the room he needs!!

I'm in favour of more rotation - I think our reluctance to do that was one reason (but not the only one) for our disaster in the Qualifiers.
As for attendances, there has been a very healthy increase and hopefully some of the pre-season signings should boost those figures next season - especially if Bradford are still in the Championship!

I understand, and agree with that, but I reckon Riddy (in particular) has been knackered, these past few weeks. Also, I believe both Riddy and Ryan have been playing, whilst injured, and maybe some earlier rotation would have been beneficial to them and Reynolds. But like Charlie says, it's a 'Catch 22' situation, in that we try to win every game, (and rightly so) and the coach wants to pick his best team to do that.
However, to then say we are a 'broken team', whilst probably true, sounds like a case of 'wanting your cake, and eating it too'!

| True I just don't think young Reynolds is good enough personally!! I think the season as taken its toll on a big way on some of the boys and been a steep learning curve that we will benefit from massively next year!

Strange one with Reynolds, not seen a lot of him but I like him. Can't put my finger on it, but reckon he's gonna be a good un, watched him closely at the Donny game and whilst he didn't set them world on fire he was a right gobby get, always talking trying to organise, giving the like of Wilkes a mouthful.
Funny balance, but I'd like to see him get more game time

| Problem is now with chase coming in there is no room! I really do think we should be looking at moving riddy to 13! Hansen is a 80 minute 2nd rower with Patterson there to! Could use hock moi moi Weston matuai and Hopkins in short bursts!

| If the reduction in interchanges comes in there will be no room for players who only play in short bursts.

I find it interesting as tactics will play a big part if it happens.I'm sure some will still play a big short burst player but obviously at the cost of more minutes on another position.
Could be a big advantage to a team, when you stick that player on at the right time.

| reffy but with putting riddy at 12 you then have a 11 12 and 13 that will play all 80 mins! That leaves us with 4 spots (props) too use in smaller more impactful bursts
