I think Leigh fans think we'll get in Super League because:

- We got to the Challenge Cup quarter finals
- We've won every home game for 2 years

We nearly lost to Bradford, and they didn't have Gaskell in their team............. I hope we pick our form up because we'll be lucky to finish 5th. Bradford look very dangerous at the moment! They've got a young squad and I think they'll be back in Super League, either this year or the next if they can keep a hold of their young players.

As it stands, we can still get in top 3. Definitely get in top 5. And then that will leave it down to our "bottle" in the million pound game.

There is still all to play for yet and, we have not become a bad side overnight! We need to learn from this defeat as it was largely self inflicted! We must improve our field kicking and put pressure on our opponents, we cant keep doing it by running at them all the time! I hope our confidence has not been damaged? some of the players deserve to lose their place after their KR performance, some players were visibly found wanting in the stamina dept!personally I would like to see Sarsfield and Haggerty involved and Acton too they all have something different to offer? although, Ill leave that decision to the Coaches!

As a KR supporter I would comment as follows. I don't think Leigh can or should change their style of play. It has served them well over the past two seasons and I see no reason why it won't serve you well in these qualifiers. I was expecting a loss and at half time I was convinced that we would indeed lose. I think that what you have to learn is that there is a time to stick the ball up your jumper, drive for five tackles and then put in a decent kick and let the opposition worry about getting out of their half. You can't play at 100 miles per hour all the time; your players need a breather. By all means hit Salford with all you've got and if you succeed in getting a decent lead then start thinking about how to keep it and frustrate the opposition. You don't have score in every set. You have to build pressure and keep your foot on the oppositions throat.

That's fair enough,but also our discipline let us down as well. I'm sure rowls will address this matter.

You say Salford controlled the first half but watching the tries you conceded in the first half your tackling was an absolute disgrace tackle well and you would have won easily

I know it's gone now - and it's all ifs and buts - but when was the last time Leigh "took the 2 points" when they were right on an opponent's goal line??

We changed our mentality right at that moment. I'd be interested to hear about who made the call.

And before anyone says the extra 2 points gave us a 3 score lead. I know that. But another possible try and maybe even more than one set on Hull KR's line might have really finished them off at that point. Plus it would have given us a further confidence boost. 2 points so early was too negative, imo.

Think it was Riddy and at the time thought it was the right thing to do. Didn't at full time though.

To be fair ant, You use the words maybe,possible and might. Those words can be used if the game went differently. e.g. Riddy kicks the two points we get the ball back,then a bit of champagne rugby,kay in at the corner,then Riddy does a great conversion,ball back and so on...............Although it didn't go that way,I won't be criticizing that decision.

If Armstrong hadn't passed into touch on our own 10 then the pattern of the game may not have changed, then again it may not have done

I agreed with the 2 point call, hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it? Given a different result the knockers would be applauding the taking of two points.

A very tough game again at the weekend but one Leigh are more than capable of being competitive in.
Salford will be no push overs as they will be outright favourites to win (just as Hull KR was) but equally Leigh are no pushovers so its sits up as an excellent game.
I would imagine we will see a very good following from Leigh so should be a match not to be missed as despite the disappointment of losing a game on 73minutes to Hull KR it has to be said the LSV was rocking again on Saturday so lets take that support on the road again.
