| Seems somewhat strange to be getting rid of a coach on the basis that they couldn't agree on reasons for their current form. Sure they are 5th, which isn't in itself all so bad considering there are 3 full time sides within the division.and even then there is only 2 points separating 3rd to 5th.
Is the Chairman a rugby man?

Well he's played for the club he's in charge of, if that counts!

Currently suspended I believe, refs have complained about his management style.
It would appear to be true and if so, I'm more than happy. He's a fev lad with passion for the club and has experience at the highest level.
Without wishing to put the mockers on him, it could be a genius appointment a la Powell.

Yeah I tend to agree.I think there must more to it than has been said. To bin him at such a crucial point, with still the possibility of making 4th spot even if they lose to Leigh, just doesn't add up.

I think it's just that Mark's patience finally ran out. We've been dire all year and have seriously under-achieved. With the squad we have, we should be comfortable in third and seriously challenging Leigh and Bradford.
The home performances in particular have been appauling and we've lost a good 1000 off the crowd as a result.
Additionally, Andy was never Mark's man. He was appointed during the madness of the Poskitt and Nahaboo era.
I'd concede that the timing is poor, I'll just have to hope that we can win 2 out of the last 3 and get ourselves into the money zone, ready for next year.

One positive from this is that there are no longer any traces of Poskitt and Nahaboo left at the club.

Thats the same Poskitt that is doing such a fantastic job at Fax. Its strange how different people fit different clubs and certain people shoulder the blame for other peoples failings.
You can see why Hay went though if Fev fans are thinking their current squad should be challenging the likes of Leigh and Bradford. On paper they are about where they should be which is challenging for 4th or 5th position imo. The move to get rid of Hay now reeks of desperation and you just wonder how reliant Fev are on the money that comes with finishing in the top 4 and its going to be a tough ask to win all their remaining games to even put them in with a shout of doing that.

Of course we should be up in third. We have won 9 out of 9 away from home including Yourselves and Bradford. We have won just 4 at home. With absolutely pathetic performances against Sheffield fax and London.
At the start of the season we would have expected to do a lot better at home with probably only defeats to Bradford and Leigh considered acceptable.
If we had performed as expected at home we would now be clear in 3rd.
So to say we're where we should be is wrong. We have under achieved massively which hasn't been helped by Hays constant chopping and changing of the team.
For me it's weeks too late, should have been at least after either London or Sheffield at home, but I'm glad he's finally gone

Maybe you have over achieved away from home? Squad wise it would probably be unfair to say Fev are any better than Sheffield, London, and Fax. Personally I reckon Fev are making a massive mistake going for Jon Sharp but only time will tell.

Referees are like women, they make snap decisions and never reverse them.
Littlerich wrote Widnes will be glad to get away from Leigh. They've been regularly pumped, roasted and left in the alley-way by the lobbygobblers. Talk about being bitched - what a torrid time they've had. They'll be looking for some A&E rest time for the next three years at least.:simpsons/PDT13.gif |

| They haver probably lost games because of their new pitch. When you look at it from the score board end it looks like the Pennines. It's nearly got valleys. Great having a longer pitch but it a bit bumpy.
