The words 'Above and Beyond the Call of Duty' spring to mind but since you weren't getting paid these words are completely inadequate.
Hope to read some of your dry wit on here going forward.
One of your unforgettable comments addressed to opposing teams was along the lines of:
If you coming to play rugby then fine but if you are coming for a bash then we will accommodate you.

Fred is almost single handedly responsible for reconnecting me with our great club. Many years ago I learned of the games being videod and got in touch with Fred. From there every game was sent across the pond by Fred who never failed to get the CDs in the post the very next day after a game, sometimes it staying up late into the early hours of the morning to ensure the games were processed. He has never let me down in all the years, and LCTV has been the icing on the cake. I'm often able to view a full game late on a Sunday night due to the dedication Fred has shown to getting the game on line. Heavens knows he must not sleep on Sunday nights.
Thanks Fred, i will be forever grateful for putting me back in touch with the game and club I love.

Thanks for all the kind words, but no one is irreplaceable and I do feel I have found very able replacements in our 4 UCLAN students Chris Stott, Keiran Makin, Robert Lee and Drew Darbyshire give them a bit of time to get 'up to speed' the job isnt that hard just time consuming and a bit daunting until they get into the swing of it. I'm looking forward to actually watching a game instead of through a camcorder screen, I have had 15 great seasons but have been trying to retire for the last 12 months, a bout of ill health recently finally made up my mind and I apologise to the club, it's fans and coaching staff for the suddenness of my departure but personal reasons and illness have taken it's toll these last few weeks (nothing at all to do with Leigh Centurions I may add) and I of course wish you all well.

Great statement Fred. No need to apologise though. Fred You've done an absolutely fantastic job.
Regards the new guys, They seem to be settling in really well,and they're also doing a magnificent job.

I hope you are over the bout of ill health now.

It's great to be able to tap into the supply of media students from UCLAN - how many years is it since Keith Freer suggested that? (I believe his wife was/is head of Media Studies there?)

How will we be fixed when these excellent students have graduated? Will any of them remain with Centurions TV, or will we be able to replace them with the next generation of undergraduates? What the club is providing must be excellent material and experience for their degree courses.

Cant comment re Keith Freer as I didn't know what his wife did until just before his departure, but wished i'd have known years ago, I certainly would have taken up his offer.

All of the guys are in their 1st year and whilst only 1 was a supporter before joining us all 4 have taken on board the ethos and spirit of LC TV ( Im sounding like Rowls now ).
It was only this morning that I suggested to two of them that they keep their eyes and ears open for any more 'freshmen' students next year that would be willing to assist thereby hopefully creating a 'production line' of young talent, something I have wanted to do from day 1 with LC TV.
All of them have asked me to be their 'advisor' I have agreed but I honestly think after a few weeks/months they will not need me, I have told them they can continue using my Studio (fancy name for back yard shed ) that Dave and I set up last year.
The LSV is not the best of venues for recording in due to the air conditioners being so noisy - saying that the birds in my garden are pretty noisy as well.
The guys are also writing articles for the programme, match reports, and social media updates, in a package thought out by themselves and agreed by Mike Latham and I.
But more importantly they are enjoying what they are doing which is great. The coaching staff and players have also responded well to them, and I'm hoping for good things to come along during the next few months.
