Innocent until proven guilty. What seems to pass a lot of people by who make snide remarks is that if they are wrong, then what they are doing is taking players who are out with serious injury and kicking them while they are down. How would you like it if you were ill or injured of a significant length of time and people started slinging mud at you?

We have all heard the rumours of players hiding from testers, dodgy protein supplements etc if just needs to be put to bed ASAP!

i sometimes wonder if ive logged on to the Halifax and Fev sites when i come on here some days. The club put out a statement months ago when this rubbish originally surfaced in April.... subsequently one of the alledged players has since gone to play 2 months of RL.

Do people really believe that because bitter players, fans post such vile that its true. The RFL nor Leigh should ever feel the need to put out press releases to counter absolute nonsense.

Finally if anyone is trying to say Bracek didnt mean Leigh last night they are away with the fairies.

I do detect quite a lot of bitterness. Why do you think that is? And why do you think clubs don't appear (to me at least), to have anywhere near the same depth of feeling towards Bradford who appear to be going about their season quietly, with a lot less fuss and like leigh, have only lost one game?

This topic was introduced to this forum by a Leigh fan, most wouldn't have bothered.

It stems from last season mate, and the constant childlike behaviour of several Yorkshire clubs who find it funny to try and bully and intimidate a professional RL player. I wont say any more on it because people will be taken to task through the right channels but if you understand the core of the problem my answer should help to answer your question.

UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) - a body independent of the RFL and all other sports - move quickly when positive tests are identified. We'd have had players suspended within weeks of the tests if any of this was true, and we'd have had public confirmation a long time ago along with details of the ban.

Quite simply, if there was a large scale drug cheating problem at Leigh then it would be reportable fact by now.

Is that clear enough for everyone to understand?

And if, like at Featherstone, it is found that any individual(s) have cheated with performance enhancing drugs then they are irresponsible and will get the bans they deserve.

Bradford haven't played at this level for a long time now, so there's not really any genuine "rivalry", in that time, it seems there seems to have been some bad blood growing between the players at Leigh, Fax, Fev, Batley etc... leading to heated games that inevitably boil over. A lot is made of Derek Beaumont's twitter account, but there have been a lot of stuff on Twitter from players of various clubs over the last 18 months, directed at Leigh players, that have since been deleted. No doubt after being given some wise words of advice. Doesn't excuse ill discipline on all sides (and it is on all sides, all as bad as each other imo), but explains some background and difference between Leigh / Bradford vs other championship clubs.

As for reactions of fans. Bradford will have a lot less fuss. They were world club champions 10 years ago, and are now in the second tier, where they probably expected to be clear winners. Leigh on the other hand have just had a club record winning run and the best squad we've assembled in a generation, so we're entitled to be pretty excited! Problem is one or two go too far, and suddenly "All Leigh fans are arrogant!"

There'll be numerous other factors as well, but that's my attempt at a genuine answer anyway.

He was banned within a month of taking the test though.

Neither of the last two points will help to stop the rumours unfortunately.

Well it is a bit like being a black guy in America before Abraham Lincoln came along. Well eventually we all know what happened.

I also think diet plays a part.
