Probably the biggest load of tripe ever written.....
As for the one mans crusade two questions :-
Did you want to play at a none league football ground because thats were we where heading?
Which succesful club in sport isnt a one mans crusade?
this forum must be one of the only ones in sport who panic so much about one man owning us.... if you want fans ownership look at Rochdale, they wont be heading to SL any time soon

Good point there TW, there will of course always be ones who will go along with whatever happens and forget what happened in the past. I personally think we're in a great place and hope it continuous to be so. only time will tell.

I also am of the opinion we are in a a very good place despite the fact at the back of my mind is Derek was another who walked away in the past and potentially he could do so again.
I am to long in the tooth now not to be just a little cautious when it comes to Leigh RLFC and new dawns.
The secret however is to enjoy it for what it is now and to live very much for the day. We simply can not worry about what may or may not happen at some point down the road based on what happened in the past.
These really are exciting times we are entering into for Leigh RL so I am going to buckle in and enjoy the ride today. We have a wonderful stadium to play out of and we very much look like the professional outfit we all craved and hoped we could one day aspire into both on and off the field. That alone is a reason to be more optimistic.
The future is bright (The future is now)

| Would Rowley Snr be responsible for, or have any significant input to, firing Rowley Jnr if results didn't happen on the pitch this season?

| One would think that the hiring and firing of playing and coaching staff would be the job of the Rugby Director and Club Owner.
Allan Rowley's title is I believe Operations Director.

Come on Dave you've gone dark since this last post, you've not answered my questions?
You've previously had no concerns with the one mans crusade when you've wrapped up your clients deals??

At the same time as that unbelievable IF you mention above why don't you also ask Allan will he have any significant input in the hunt for Lord Lucan riding Shergar on the moon?
Paul's worked miracles, won everything there is to win in our league. Got the best Leigh team since 1982 playing the best rugby and the first thought wizzing through your head to put on here is above. Absolutely amazing

Don't be ridiculous, Shergar must be dead by now.
So what you're basically saying is that you don't answer hypothetical questions. Have you ever thought of a career in politics?
Conflicts of interest - perceived or real - are never a good thing. However, Fred has actually attempted to answer the question (thanks Fred) - and it looks like Rowley Snr is not CEO after all, more like a COO. I've actually not got anything against Rowley Snr (or Jnr for that matter) other than some ill-advised rants that we all remember - like anybody else they have to be judged on results.

| And Paul's results are he's arguably the best coach in this country.
Maybe when SL elite clubs come calling having his Dad on board may just help to keep him....
If your judging on results why did you ever ask the question.
As for the statement you refer to that Allan made, was he right?? Yes of course he was and that statement didn't do us any harm in fact right now it's probably helping in more ways than you can imagine!

Really Ste?
Cutting aside all the SL, Championship BS we are essentially a second division side still so if winning the second division makes you the best coach in the country then Darren Abram must have been the Messiah as he got us to SL and chucked in a NRC cup along the way also.........
Paul is improving year on year and doing a fantastic job and is a very promising young British coach but the big challenges are all still all in front of him yet and he knows that im sure.

I think any true Leigh fan is uncomfortable about the number of times we have looked down the barrel of administration / bankruptcy and to be fair the current situation with the restructuring of the leagues expose us to that once again.
However Derek and his team are in the position of deciding the clubs immediate destiny and they will take up the challenge as they see fit.
Paul is also embarking on the biggest challenge of his coaching life and will need the support of everyone to achieve.
If Allan is declared as CEO I am not sure if he is the correct person to give Paul support -- after all whoever listened to their dad's advice
Seriously anyone who gives their time to the club should be applauded,we all would operate in different ways but would all want the same outcome.

Yeah Andy Really..........
Opinions are like ar5e holes we all have one.......
Do you think Darren Abram is a better coach than Paul?
Do you think his team played better rugby?
Did Darren arrive at pre season with no coaching staff and a dozen players at best?
Did Darren manage to survive a financial crisis?
Did Darren create the team culture Paul has?
Personally as i stated originally i think he is the best British coach, out of interest as you think he isnt who would you swap him with??
