| Great match. Our young guns showed resilliance and strength of charachter to claim a deserving victory.
It was a peach of a pass from young Josh Ward on the 75th min. It would have been a travesty for the lads to have lost a grand final on the back of a bad refereeing decision.
Some great performances. Jamie Tracie looks real prospect. Matt Pendlebury showed some nice touches before injury curtailled his evening. The full back linked well all match.
The future is definitely bright.

17580.jpg First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can.

| Just finished watching the game. A great win by the boys, and very well deserved, (especially since I've watched the Peet try several times and don't see a forward pass.)
The kick through for our last gasp try was an absolute cracker. The Baggley try was wonderful to watch, and Pitman was unstoppable for his bulldozer try.
Watching this game makes me really shake my head and wonder at what our club has achieved in such a short time since the new board took over. We still have a long way to go but seeing the quality in this group of young men makes me believe we can make it happen. Quality players in all areas of the field. I thought Chris Rowe was massive in a very strong pack performance, Ward was controlled in the middle, and our back line was outstanding to a man.
Another great example of what is quickly becoming a club trait.
Never say die

Talk about being bitched - what a torrid time they've had. They'll be looking for some A&E rest time for the next three years at least.:simpsons/PDT13.gif |

| Congratulations to all involved . When I last checked Twitter last night Sheff had just scored to go 28-26 in front, thought that was it and went to bed

| Anyone know what the crowd was given as, I must've missed it. I'd guess about 750-850.

| Thought hankinson put a massive effort in at loose, he was in everything. Full back looker very lively. The team lost their way when Pendlebury went off at half time, he was bossing it, great kicking game - is he signed for next year?

Last night was the first reserves game I've been to all season so I'm not upto speeed with many of their names, but don't think any Leigh lads had a particularly good kicking game last night, there was the occasional good kick but the amount of kicks that went out on the full was shocking. That for me was the only negative of the whole game, on the flip side, the young Sheffield lad that was doing all their kicking bossed the game for them and nearly kicked us to death single handedly.

| Jamie tracey had 1st team written all over him, maybe in time the others may make it, the full back played well. All in all i really enjoyed the game, but we could of easily list it with the shocking amount of mistakes we made 2nd half

Mistakes are always going to happen in a U20's game, especially in a pressure game like this, against a very good Sheffield side. Don't forget that we effectively lost Pendlebury, one of our main pivot players and a strong positional kicker after 20 mins due to injury. For an under 20's team to keep it together under that circumstance, in a Grand Final, and come out winners, says a lot about them. They made mistakes, and 3 kicks went out on the full, but when it mattered they made it happen.
I think we will see 6 or more of these players make it to the first team at one point or another.
