| Linda neither me or our Dave were invited but so what it's not our 'scene' anyway sometimes you have to take the rough with the smooth, It's something you have to put up with it's not done out of malice just people not thinking, thats what comes about with a lack of staff to coordinate events.
Ive been 'wrangled' in to film the Heritage dinner next Friday but i'd sooner be with our reserves at Sheffield.

| From what I know it was a do organised by the BoM for them and the players ONLY I don't believe it was an oversight not to invite Linda why should they? If they invited every volunteer Derek would be bankrupt haha. You volunteer because of love of the club not for recognition or to get into do's get a grip!

Correct, we all do what we do for one reason we want to see the club succeed and grow, it's not about the glory it's about the satisfaction of knowing you do your bit and make a difference.
What people must not forget is that the Board are also volunteers giving up many hours of valuable time and professional services for free to the club as well as investing tens and hundreds of thousands of pounds between us on an annual basis to make nights like last night possible.
We could have sold that bar out ten times over last night but the team had to make commercial decisions and distribute the limited access passes in the best way they saw fit. Maybe we did not communicate well enough to regular ST holders who frequent the bar and this is a lesson I suppose but we had to focus on the players and players families first and foremost along with the Staff and u20s etc.
We are doing our very best but will not please everyone all of the time and I personally found it an impossible and thankless task last night and what should have been a great night was spoiled for me personally as instead of celebrating on the pitch with the lads I was fielding complaints from people who felt aggrieved that they couldn't get in the bar.
Anyway onwards and upwards, we will continue to do our very best and hope people can see the genuine efforts being made.
Cheers
Andy

Thank you for your understanding last night Ian, it's hard because you try to please everyone but it's pretty much impossible.
Appreciate the kind words and all you do for the club.

Andy, A few people may have been upset last night but, I'll wager that there were close on 3,500 others who were well-pleased with what everyone has achieved in such a short space of time. Like you say, you can't please all the people all the time, but about 95%+ customer satisfaction isn't bad for starters!
Keep up the good work, together!
Alan.
P.S. Check your PM's please.

| Yes, the crowd last night was almost double what it would have been a year or two ago in a regular fixture. Well done to Andy, the BOM, coaches and players...we are living the dream.

| What a night......and I'll say that again WHAT A NIGHT.
Both teams deserved huge credit for what was some of the toughest RL I've seen played at the LSV, It was a good old fashioned RL match with both clubs showing why they have been at the top end of the lower leagues for so long and both showing that with guidance off the pitch they have the potential to progress in the new world of RL.
Mom was fully deserved to Armstrong but Barlow had a blinder in fact everyone one of our forwards had a blinder but then you could add Ridyard who was fantastic and Brierley who gave us that uncertainty and class but Penky wasn't to be outdone - bottom line a solid team performance where the MOM could have gone to a huge percentage of players which must be pleasing for the best coach to be seen at Leigh for many a year - Rowley has got this team playing the game just how its supposed to be and he deserves as much credit as the players in this.
After the match the club showed just why its one of the best in the business, I cannot think of many clubs fans who would have lifted a trophy so soon after the players had lifted it - so stand up Mr Beaumont for knowing how to maximise a moment and show some class by sharing that feeling with so many fans, lets not forget Paul Rowley who must have shaken every fans hand last night and players like Acton, Brierley, Barlow etc who was still thanking fans long after the final hooter.
We are a team in every sense of the word at Leigh with the management , the players and the fans as one. Its been a long time returning but the feel good factor is back and so are the crowds!
The BOM deserve the credit for believing that to start turning Leigh around we needed more than fancy catch words but lots of hard graft, true we have lots and lots of hard work to get where we want to be and its just the start but lets be honest things couldn't be any better right now.
So well done to the players and management of Leigh Centurions on a great achievement, lets not celebrate too hard though as lets be remembered as true champions - lets go and win the GF!

| Maybe I'm just in a bad mood as a wire fan. But I've just read over this and it has actually made me feel quite sad. This isn't a contest of who has put in the most time or money. It's a simple matter of someone who has done a hell of a lot for this club leaving the place upset last night.
For me that's just wrong and I hope that it can be rectified in person without sly digs online, which to me have been prevalent all year.
I will be waking up in a bad mood regardless tomorrow, so I do hope that all of the above is wrong.

| Wel just to say and my final words on this matter .
I understand what went on and if I knew I would not get in I wouldn't have gone to.try .
however I asked Andy in the Lefends bar pre match would I get in with my pass andhe said he thought so
He had been away and only found out about them that day, he said if I had problems to ring him and he'd sort it. To be fair Andy did come down and he was mithered to death with others who couldn't get in, I wasn't the only one.
What upset me was not the not getting in it was the being told before I would and the manner I was told my the personnel on the door , one of whom knew me very well . I was really reallly embrassed and wanted to ground to swallow me up . I'm a big softy too so I was really really upset and I hadn't felt myself all day , I was so nervous all day waiting for the game.
Anyway the club have explained what happened , I had a message off the chairman and other directors apologising which is really nice and shows they are great people .
I just want it leaving now please
