The reason Leigh are not playing well at the moment is in part due to bad handling and bad passing imo.

Think on the team we have we should be beating London & Bradford, maybe even Wakefeild & Salford, although Salford will probably be much better next season & Wakefield can up their game when they want to. Should be getting into that 4th V 5th game as we stand, with a few extra players who knows, might get straight into SL.

Derek , a Philadelphia lawyer couldn't sort out the RFL , im sure when the time comes for the said Mini League to happen we at Leigh will be ready , another question though is how are the 3 Home games and 4 away games to be chosen ?Plenty of food for thought , whatever happens , hopefully Leigh will be in the Mix , but I take nowt for granted .

Francis you keep harping on about Leighs poor form and dropped balls ,I forcast a while ago we will lose a game , though I don't know where , every team drops balls especially when they play fast flowing Rugby like ours , its just a fact you have to put up with ,I still think the League Leaders shield is wrapped up with our name on it , hopefully come play-off time we will have a fully fit squad , and mount a good challenge for the GF .Have faith .

LS both London and Bradford are not bad sides , but I agree we can beat them both , as for the other bottom 4 ?Its anybodies guess who will be in there , next season Cas might not be as strong , along with Widnes ,and both Hull clubs , which is why I keep on about needing to rise to SL level next year from the start , we don't want to be behind the 8 ball early on , but don't want to waste money on 3rd rate imports , I remember Jason Kent , from last time .

First order of business next season will be to finish in the Top 4 of the league (SL2?) , which will include 2 relegated sides from SL. Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves - the standard of SL2 will be a fair bit higher than the Championship -there will be London, Bradford, Leigh, Fev, Fax, Doncaster who will all be very viable candidates for the Top 4, plus Batley and Sheffield will have their own designs. We won't be playing the bottom 5 teams of current division so there really will be no easy games next year (except, perhaps the side promoted from Champ 1)!

I agree there will be no easy games next season , which is why I say we must recruit Quality players , but I think this is already known by the Club ,we will have the advantage of being full time though , im not sure about the others , probably London and Bradford will be , but with funds being so vastly different after the top 2 , it will be hard for the others to compete .

If we come top two and don't finish in the four something will have gone badly wrong
The clubs stated ambition is SL and I believe they are capable of taking us there and certainly putting the structures in place to do so

No Frank they will already be in the Championship after being relegated this year.

I believe they are capable, but can they do it at the first attempt? We will see. We have made great sides but at the same time, Fax, Fev and Sheffield have not been at their best this season. With Naboo-boo out of the way we may see a different Fev side next year. Doncaster seem to have some money to spend also.

Mapleleyther, do you know there is a £300k funding gap between first and third, making a FT squad impossible without bridging that gap via external funding next season. Fev will finish top 2 and go FT with or without Nahaboo next season, the 2 dropping down will remain FT - any one of those 4 not finishing top 4 will have done something very wrong - getting a promotion place will be a big ask once in the middle group though
