Can't argue with that but to punish the few idiots something must have occurred that warrants the punishment. Anything that helps to prevent things happening must be looked at. One thing that would help would be encouraging Stewards to watch the fans rather than the game.

Let's start again. No one on here is advocating the ban of beer on the terraces. In two games now bottles have been thrown onto the pitch. What I said in my opening post was to stop selling drinks in bottles but put them in plastic cups. Including soft drinks. This would reduce any chance of a player or official being hit by a part empty bottle. Let's not give the authorities any chance to ban beer from the terraces of a RL match. I also totally agree that the stewards should be more switched on during the game.

TV boy my response was not at you but a general comment, To be honest I'm more sick of some of the chants we seem to bring out at away games which have to many F words in them, I'm no prude far from it but it just gives the wrong impression of the general Leigh supporter.

I went to Tesco's at 9 15pm this evening to buy a bottle of red wine.

They would not serve me because of the Manchester City Victory Parade which had ended over an hour earlier.

I just went somewhere else but what annoys me is that the majority are inconvenienced because one or two people out of say 3000 behave badly when they have had a drink.

Oh yeh lets solve the problem by just banning alchohol and 'in the case of Males' grow long beards and pray 5 times a day in the same direction and shut all the pubs.

Well it might please Allah but it does not matter because I can always get heroin crystal meth cocaine etc to replace the wine.

I think most people should be allowed to make up their own minds and for those who step out of line punish them' but don't punish those who know how to behave.
