| Whilst understanding the rationale for letting him go, I'm disappointed at this move - especially as our backs are not currently setting the World on fire. With Pownall and Maden also languishing out of the team, the message appears to be that we don't want/need wingers.

| There is no doubt in my mind. Liam Kaye is a very talented player but your not using him to the best of his ability if your playing him out on the wing. It just makes the decision to send out Brown on a months loan all the more bizarre.

| The positive with Brown is that if he's playing first team, it can only be good for his confidence and will benefit Leigh

Probably because the centres don't give them the ball.

| At least since he was dropped for 'defensive frailties' that side of defence has tightened up...

Well PR picks the side and if at the moment Brown can't get into the side Derek Beaumont makes a valid point about our reserves playing Academy sides for the next few weeks so Alex would just be kicking his heels for a month.
Better for him to keep match fit in my view.

| Just maybe there is more to it than face not fitting, because if not I think Alex has been made a scapegoat without good reason. He in my opinion is the best winger in the club.

Mr Publican , I agree Alex is a very good winger , not sure about best at the Club though , at the moment I favour Higson , AJ has took his chance well and deserves his place , for me Brown wasn't seeing enough of the ball .He should soon be back in the first team , though im not to sure about others , could be Good Night Irene for a couple . .

| This was my most anticipated signing of the season, there must be reason as to why Alex is not in the team but as I have said before Rowley must know what he's doing?
Alex's obvious down side is his defence, which IMO could be coached 1-1,
I think a fair benchmark would be that we would all be jealous if he was lining up for Fax against us but now he is with us he is almost taken for granted.
undoubted attacking talent but as much a mystery to me as to why our best attacking centre is being played on his unfavoured side?

| It does all seem rather odd. Most people were finding it hard to choose between Brown and young Ryan to finish top try scorer only a few weeks back..
Personally I would have recalled Alex Brown this week, just to mix it up a bit. He had earned himself another shot by performing in the A-team.
The beauty of having a big squad available is that once you are given the first team shirt you must literally perform every week, no excuse. How many of our players can say they were at the very top of their game last week? Not all of our backs have covered them selves in glory so far.
Also I would move Higson to centre, Charlie.

| Littler is the captain & is highly rated by Rowls so IMHO I doubt he'll be dropped. Personally I think Kaye, Higson or even Gov would be better as right centre with Pownall & Brown on either wing.

| I think everyone is surprised about Alex Brown not being chosen , and we all have our choices from 2-5 , LG mentioned Gov , he was invisible last night , my wingers would be Higson and Brown , Armstrong should give his winger more ball , its been said about Littler being Captain , but for me his place would be in Question , again we all have our opinions , whatever happens Alex will return .

He's been a great signing over the past couple of years but I do just wonder if we have better options this year. There are not many 35 year old centre's currently in the game are there?

| It's all about keeping quality in your team & Kaye & Gov are quality players but with Beswick & Penky on form where does that leave them? AJ is nailed on in the starting 13 whether that's on't wing or centre IMO with Littler passed his best he'd be better as a rotational back rower for me. Another option would be putting Sarsy at 3 & Kurt to starting back row with Thornley on't bench. I'm not sure if it was Salford lad sugested Kaye in't centre but thinking about it that would be better than the ever ageing Littler or AJ brought inside.
