I just don't think its right to respond to every piece of criticism, especially when it relates to players, as tempting as it is when you have a real stake in things as well as being a fan, first and foremost.

Singling out individuals may be unfair, I don't know as I obviously wasn't at the game. But everyone is entitled to their opinion. There's no need to come on here and defend a player or team development. They can do their talking on the pitch.

If I'm a new player at a club and we win 52-12 at home in my first game then go away and blitz a team 52-08 yet I'm getting slaughtered by species both from the terrace and on the message boards I'd be thinking what a horrible place and were the hell have I come, let's hope we don't actually lose a game.

Like Mr C says best thing WE and I say WE as a fan not a Board Member can do is get behind this lad chant his name and give him some support as confidence players need to feel loved and the sooner he feels loved the sooner he will settle in not that im saying he's hasn't done so already. Gees I'm falling into the trap of believing some of this nonsense now.

Law of average tells you in a team sport even when winning and winning well individuals will have loss of form or off days it's sport and players of quality don't become bad ones overnight. We have a coaching team and support staff second to none at this level to address these things so I don't think there is anything to worry about.

Myself, Steve and Neil post on here not only to promote the positives but cut out the negatives before they grow arms and legs and become detrimental to the club.

Your right when your throwing thousands upon thousands of pounds and 20-30 hours a week as a Director at the detriment of your own business it's hard to sit back and watch things being said about guys within our club. Paul creates a family environment and togetherness in our camp so if someone's having a pop then it hurts as these lads are part of the family, what frustrates most is when people close to the club who should know better join in.

I will give it a wide birth from now on and save myself the time and effort though of it gives you some good late night reading mate
