As I said Iain , I agree about a Centurions win , it will be very interesting to see how we turn out first game up , im confident , but not overconfident , Leigh by 10 for me , as for Dogs ?Our dog Sam is a cross Cairn Terrier , and Can put his tail between his legs , I just don't think Bulldogs can , Salfordlad might know  .

I am expecting a easy Leigh win...
For 3 reasons
1...we have a great team this season, great signings to play along fantastic players we kept last season...
and we wont have any money issues ( re players being paid )
2....Batley
John Kear has brought in quite a few young players...not having the experience the Leigh player will have.
3...we've got the best supporters in the land, we've got the best supporters in the land, we've got the best supporters in the land, we've got the
cant wait to start singing in the North Stand
so i will go for

Cant see anything other than comfortable Leigh win by 20+. Batley have lost some key players and replaced most of them with mediocre replacements and appear to be struggling to create much in pre season. The local press stated yesterday that Black will now miss the start of the season so they will be further disadvantaged. Cant believe on the back of last season the recruitment this season has been so underwhelming.
As for the season in general Featherstone & Leigh for top 2, cant see sheffield or halifax
touching either this year but the eagles cant be written off....

You know what my gut instincts tell me Andy don't comment be professional well sod it that's one heck of a great post and I'm with you!!!
This pack we've got will smash Batley to pieces regardless of how many duels they can get hold of this year or who coaches them!!!
We are Leigh and we will be taking it to every single one of these clubs in the Championship this year no matter who they are. Some great teams and coaches in this league so I can't wait for this season to start now.

may be true.....based on this year's batley side....but then again we hear the same every pre-season........its probably not Batley who you will have to worry about this its the other 2 or 3 usual suspects I guess.........I bet its a relief that you wont have to go through the play off's though to get one of the top two spots on offer lol

Andy you know how much I like your Enthusiasm and I feel your positive vibes are very infectious , nowt wrong with either , but im not getting to carried away by anything , its happened in the past where we have been expecting this and that , and it hasn't happened , I hope im totally wrong , but Batley for me are a Spoiling side , they don't play open rugby , and I feel a 10 point win will be OK . We respect everyone but fear no one mate.
If Batley are anywhere near as strong as last season it promises to be a great game so I hope you guys can bring a good following and add to the atmosphere. |

Getting excited for the season now. I think if Batley play their similar style of relying on size and power we'll beat them fairly easily, we have the pack to handle it with the creativity and speed in the backs to score a few points against them. Should be a good interesting game to see just how we play.

LS I really hope you are right , the bullfrogs wont turn up net week to lie down they never do , ive never been more optimistic about a new season as I am now , but I want to see our team play in a Competitive game before making any predictions .There are a couple of weak teams in the League this year , but also a couple of strong ones to , I also hope the Leigh Public come out to in numbers to support the Centurions .Not just the Die-hards . |
