For whatever reason Annette left it was under a different regime and should have been announced / thanked / printed etc at that time - NOT NOW. To post this story as you have DOES appear to be blaming the current BOM and ruins all the good work they are doing.

Why ever not?? Are you trying to sterilise this MB? You want to communicate news about Leigh RLFC, surely that should be good news or bad news NOT what Big Brother says he will allow.

Annette is a really lovely lady. Always had a smile on her face. Always happy to help with any query. I used to have some good chats and a laugh with Annette when I did some sponsorship of Leigh. She was Leigh through and through and it is sad that such a loyal servant has felt the need to leave because of a "clash of personalities" Maybe she wouldn't curtsey to you or sing an anthem of WE LOVE WIGGIN!!!
When a loyal employee of Leigh RLFC has left after 17 years, the fans should be told.

A MB is for topics of anything related to RL or Leigh RLFC NOT what you deem to think fit. And it is benefit NOT benefit.

You'd get far more respect if you at least stated who you were when bringing negative threads to the message board.

Since the BOM came in we've had far more positives than negatives I think its fair to say so using your rational id say so far so good.

If you become aware of a subject that may be potentially detrimental to the club why tell everyone about it and create a negative thread on here??? if you want to help the club PM or email me and I shall look into the situation in the correct way without potentially creating a storm.

I will say it again Annette's departure under previous ownership of the club has nothing to do with me or the new BOM & Chairman, as much as we aim to please everyone we simply cant be concerning ourselves with the past we are far to busy building a bright future so these things are better left in the past as they do nobody including the lady herself any good.

Last message from me on this subject. Thanks for your reply Andy, I know its nothing to do with the present BOM what happened to Annette but its still Leigh R.L. Club. Its like saying lets not talk about the wonderful Wembley success in 1971 or the fabulous Championship win in 1982 because "it was under a different regime"

To be fair Graham it seems from the replies above Andy and the new BOM wasn't involved when Annette left.

Let's make this clear one more time: Neither Andy nor any other BoM member has any influence over the way this MB is moderated, and for as long as I am responsible, that is the way it will stay.

Well said Michael, Annette was great in my dealings over the years but haven't a clue what happened as I haven't a clue about lots of things that happened behind the scenes over the years
I will bore you to death talking RL that I have watched though, Rati please think before bringing something to the public that the person doesn't wish to be public, you are obviously inside to some degree and love the club as we do so please feel free to criticise as we love things up, which we will on occasion, but rest assured it will always be with the best intentions of our club when we do so

Without regurgitating the content of this thread, it needs to be stressed that a 'negative' thread is as welcome as a 'positive' thread on here, that is what a forum is for. Irrespective of what the BOD wish I hope it doesn't become a medium for applause only.

Don't you sometimes wish that real names were required on here. Then we could perhaps put postetd views into context. Hate coming on here now. Think I'll stick to the press and the Official website.

I mostly agree but what if the thread is about an individual who may not want it in the public domain? I would hate it to be for applause only also but I would suggest this should have been posted at the time or sent to mr freer or mr Coffey for reply, what has it to do about today???

Without 'naming names' this thread would have been nonsense. Taking it at face value, an acknowledgement and perhaps even a thank you would have contained it to a few posts. It is the nowt to do with us attitude that has prolonged the dialogue.

I always believe in apologies must be sincere or are worthless but if a blanket apology from me to cover anyone and everyone who has at some time felt aggrieved or upset by actions by/of anything associated with LRLFC since 1878 would allow us to focus on the future then I would make it immediately, indeed it may be pro active and prudent to do so now.
