Andy, just out of interest what targets have the club set the Community Foundation ?

Not really the place to discuss, I will say they have really exceeded expectations and are going from strength to strength.

I wouldnt want anybody getting too comfortable or complacent Andy, a huge amount of work to be done, I doubt we are ' out of the woods ' yet and nobody should be under any illusions that the change in structure will make the job any easier, if anything it could make it harder if it makes people take their eyes off the ball as too what is required

Lets hope they can deliver what the club want them to deliver, for the benifit of the club, as they are as far as I understand it, independant of the club, which was the reason given for getting rid of our last community facility

We won't rest assured.

Having been working closely with the RFL with full support of LSV and the Council we are viewing the imminent changes in structure as our big chance and intend to take it.

I'm not here to question anyone from the past none of my concern, future what matters this new team and it's credentials along with gaurenteed income being invested over next few years gives us the platform to work on and gives the club stability and real ambition for the first time in many years.

I didnt realise you were a trustee

As I said, that depends on what you do, not what you say

Since we've taken over the club I have taken responsibility for two main areas one being communications and the other to oversee all aspects of community linked to the club.

One of my first tasks was to engage with likes of LISA and the Foundation just name two independent organisations affiliated to our the club to offer a link to the New BOM.

Trevor and John were kind enough to give me a presentation on the Foundation and have since presented it to the Chairman and other members of the BOM. All are happy that the great work it does while independent it's branded in the name of Leigh Centurions and is massive for the community trust me its very impressive.

I do meet regular now with John in particular and Trevor from time to time and while I wouldn't call myself a trustee as such they are open book with me and the club and I'm copied in on their internal correspondence.
