Rumors round Leigh way were that he had signed for Fev for next year so I probably wouldnt believe them.

A big part of Barlow going to Leigh was because Penky was there but the poster who mentioned Penky back to Fax may not be far off the mark because there has been a strong rumor that he wanted to come back although it wont be part of the Barlow deal.

This season is far from over and Im already getting excited about our team for next year.

To be honest I'd keep well away from 'player rumour threads' as someone at some time is bound to get one right (even if its just a guess) and the first time it's not denied it will be considered fact or if denied and later happens then Andy or anyone else from the BOM will loose credibility.

IMO kill rumours about the club but just let player ones run, without BOM involvement.

Why would they lose credibility. If theres no deal now theres no deal now. Doesn't mean it might not happen in the future.

Obviously its going to be difficult to announce the signing of a player with a year left on his current deal.................nobody would want to think there could have been an illegal aproach would they?

By the sounds of it it has got Sam believing he has signed a contract at Leigh for next season as well.

It goes 2 ways, either a deluded fan came on here and made up some rumor about a player signing for someone or a board member just lied to his own fans. If its the first one I will scuttle away with my tale between my legs or if its the 2nd I promise I wont say I told you so.

Because although Greg might not say it others will say "I told you so" and then they are in the position of defending the situation all over again. Arguing/explaining with fans (sometimes our own) about the timings etc. Rather than not getting involved in the first place and just posting signings the official announcement on CTV when the timing is right.

Technically Andy said no Barlow "deal" with a full stop, then a new separate statement was made about anouncements.

Well on Radio leeds after the game yesterday Sam was being interviewed and just said he was at Fev for the moment and next year had not been decided and he hoped he could stay longer with the Rovers.
As you guys have said if you believe half of what you here you will be completely wrong.
They have you going dizzy.

It is not illegal to approach a player as long as their club has approved it.

I also heard the Barlow interview on Leeds radio, he was very cagey.
