Good start to a big week!!!

Can I just say Paul Rowley has played a major roll in making this happen and Ryan really does look up to Paul as do all the players young and old.

I had the good fortune to witness the atmosphere back stage at Craven Park yesterday and the noise coming out of our dressing room at Barrow was frightening, team spirt second to none and these lads are hungry.

We have a great set of young, local, talented players and a very talented young British coach who has really opened my eyes to just how professional he is and how hard he works to leave nothing to chance and cover all his bases. Since I've joined the BOM.

Taking off my BOM head and thinking purely as a fan it's clear we now have the platform in place and just need fans to back us through the turnstiles and gain lift off to SL.

is there a SL clause though? Don't mean to be negative but if there is then the new contract means nothing. If there isn't i am delighted and it just shows how comiited the players are and the new BOM. I feel this club is going somewhere and Saturday will help us get a few old faces back to the LSV. The future is bright for us i feel. Lets get Mcnally and Co signed up now!

Glad to see Ryan signed up , well done to PR and the BOM ,though a fair few already knew this ,I think in the coming weeks we will start to get more players signed for next season , I know PR and the BOM , know who they want , and will pull out all the stops to get them , but they do need our support through the turnstiles , and in other ways , Charlie will as always continue to raise as much as I can , with the valued help of Dick Jones , and others .

It doesn't have to be that black and white - if there is a get out clause then there is sometimes an associated fee. In that situation, the contract, despite not giving us the option to veto a move to SL for Ryan, would give us a guaranteed return if he does go.

You must admit this would be far better than seeing him go to SL with another club and Leigh seeing nothing in return.

Also, I don't think it's fair to be asking about a players contract. That contract is between Ryan and the club and we do not have the right to know its contents.

thanks for the reply Michael. Also, regarding his contract it was well known that he had one in his last one so feel I've asked nothing wrong at all there.

Can we not just celebrate that a great talent like Ryan has signed an extension to his contract therefor showing his faith in the club, like MW said what is or isnt in the contract is and should be private, come on feel the good vibes leave the bad one's for the stay aways 'Mick Higgins nearly ran over my cat' brigade.

LIke i said im very very happy that Ryans staying. With him being a fans favorite it will only help crowds. I agree though Fred, things are feeling amazing around the club at the moment.

The new contract is his business and the clubs managements, however he loves it at Leigh, so unless something comes along thats too good to turn down then hes staying with us for two more years, and Im sure we have made sure if he does eventually go,if under contract, we get a decent pay out for him.
I just hope he manages to play for us in SL like Chris Hill.
