| Agreed, I never sing that stupid song.
I enjoyed tonight, know that sounds weird after a 10-60 scoreline.
At one point, beginning of each half, thought we were gonna concede over 80 points. When Wigan got near our line, it resulted in a try....but It's not like Wigan kept 'making breaks' from 40 metres out, BUT obviously it was very easy at times, but each Leigh player gave 101%...and I can't ask for more than that.
I was embarrassed by the abuse Sam Tomkins received constantly, some fans near me going mad, when after a his try in the 1st half, he 'looked up' at the Leigh fans.
If that was me, I'd have given the 'finger'....
I hate it when Wigan score....but the 2 tries we scored - PURE BLISS.

| C'mon lad it was partisanship.
There isn't a Leyther who was there tonight who does not think Sam Tomkins is brilliant.

| A good effort from your team tonight. The scoreline was always likely to end up like it did but your lads never gave up. Picking themselves up and playing some good stuff after we had gone 22-0 up and getting close on a number of occasions. Ridyard (clever choice and use of kicks) and Brierley (very quick and elusive) were impressive in particular. Good turn out from you lot too, many SL sides don't bring as many (some considerably less). Good luck for the rest of the season in the Championship and NRC.

Unfortunately though it goes that bit further in RL. If he scored the winner in the World Cup final there would be several Leigh, Leeds, Saints, Wire etc fans that would boo him.

| I don't think we'll get caned in the penalty count again by so much for a very long time.
Thought we defended terribly out wide in that first 20 (nerves perhaps) but when we had the ball (which admittedly wasn't much) we did fine.
Wigan can score for fun and with that amount of possession it was a miracle we kept the score down in the first 20.
Every single Leigh player gave everything against a full time SL team, I thought we'd really tire after the first half battering but we kept plugging away and with a bit more ball and certainly more luck could have kept the score down, every penalty usually meant a try was coming and we 'gave away' a lot, the lads though kept at it and must have been running on fumes for a long time in that game.
The support was fantastic from minute 1 to minute 80 (and when you consider we got walloped that's not something you often see in any sport).
Time for the club to build on that support and also for the players to dust themselves down and now get on the horse in the Championship and NRC, Tonight was a night out lets now get down to some serious work and get this club back amongst the trophies.

fully agree, he's a phenomenal player and bound to cop a bit of stick. Its more a compliment to his abilities the fact he becomes the pantomime villain for the crowd. Its all banter with no real malice which was typified by the way the Wigan players clapped the Leigh fans and vice versa at the end of the game.

I didn't hear anyone booing him when he scored 4 against France at the LSV

Are you serious. Tonight wasd the biggest game of the season for Leigh fans and yes they sang their hearts out. Sadly most was foul mouthed and in poor taste. Spending 10 minutes chanting anti Widnes abuse was very odd.
I hope Leythers are proud they won a singing contest but you need to seriously think about moving out of the dark ages and embracing the RESPECT code. I saw a very nice Sir Tommy banner well I daresay Sir Tommy was by the vulgarity of Leythers tonight.

Classic Pie Eater.
Could I suggest
1) Ear plugs
2) Ear buds
Suggestion 1 will help drown out the chanting ,you'll have no doubt experienced that when Wire, Saints, Hull and Leeds visited so you can get use of them all season.
Suggestion 2 will help your clear your ears so you can actually correctly hear what was being sung.
I do realise the thought of a supporter making a noise a touch louder than a silent fart in the DW is a rarity but it will help you hear correctly.
HTH.
PS -
Sorry to read your opinion of the players that make up our part time team on the Wigan board - pity you think they are so bad but I kinda also think its shows how little you know about clubs and the sport at this level so your constant 'they now must see using our players for DR' line is looking increasingly silly.

| I thought the ref and linos were a bit pedantic disallowing how many tries again ? , was it 3 or 4 ? , I'll have to wait for Fred with the dvd to see what were wrong with them in the 1st half because no one seems to know , but it seems they missed Williams's try heard it was a mile forward .
Thought we had a few good performances tonight esppecially Parker , McNally , Littler and Brierley . I like the look of their young un George Williams I think we should ask em can we have him on loan for the rest of the season

The penalty count reflected the stupidity of your players. Do not blame the referee who was very generous to Leigh.
