The vouchers for free tickets aren't redeemable if you pay on the gate at the DW. That is standard practice for our games (same applies to our away games in SL). If you want to take advantage of your free kid's ticket you will need to get your tickets in advance from the LSV.

The club is losing direction fast.

Even at board level there is no money (obviously), no passion, no creativity, no vision, no forward thinking, no vibrancy, no positivity.

I personally do not see any evidence to the contrary. All IMHO of course.

I will be at the DW on Friday but to me it's the most low key build up to a Wigan v Leigh derby I have ever known.

I'm not sure why but the club seem unwilling or unable to push this fixture.
In the past when the directors have been to busy to get involved they have put out a call for help to supporters to help plug the game (I seem to remember a downloadable poster you could print off).
To say its low key is a understatement, result being possibly our lowest ever following to a Wigan fixture.

Compare this to the good will and spirit generated when we took 15 or so coaches to Hull KR away in the Challenge Cup - look what a positive thing that gave the club on and off the field , it lasted a lot longer than that one fixture.

Come on Leigh wake up , I realise our current CEO doesn't mind Wigan but surely even he can see the benefit of pushing this potentially lucrative fixture !

Still think they've missed a trick by not having at least one late opening of the ticket office......how many people know that you can order them, and collect from reception? Maybe that small detail on the original announcement would have been enough!!

The club could have tried creating a bit of a buzz around the tie this week even just by having a few press releses posted on the official web site , even if it's just along the lines ofRowley's cup plans taking shape

Etc Etc basically anything to wet the appetite further or build up even more interest. You never know, we may even sell a few additonal tickets.

The last time we played them in the cup were in similar circumstances to this with Wigan the full time SL side. Compare this week to Paul Terzis and his 'Tribal Warfare' rallying call to the town in 2002.

Love him or hate him but that certainly struck home with the Leigh public and ended up with 12,000 people packing into Hilton Park, cheering on the lads and the tie completely sold out.

I remember the buzz of that draw, jumping around our house when it was made and then the build up to it.

For whatever reasons it just isn't the same this time around. I'll be leaving it up until the last minute before deciding to go myself. Still really, really deflated about the Halifax performance and I'm not sure I could pay £16 to watch another 80 minutes of that.

Whatever we thought about Sunday some of us have seen such performances before. Fans do not throw in the towel. Fans support their side. I am not expecting a win but I expect our players to give it their best shot and that is all I expect.

Lets make some noise.OK the Pies have spent 10 times more than we have on their salary cap so should win comfortably but a good performance from our lads and our fans on Friday will surely encourage them to give their all when we play Batley.
