| Quote: Dick Jones "Well I was told there's no room for higson ATM , I'd say there is as more competitions for places means everyone plays for their place, so that should equal all round better performances .'"
Indeed and on that basis, If I was the coach I would seriously consider dropping Gardener on Good Friday and hand a chance to O'Donnell instead - Higson can earn his shot from the U20's

| Barrow scoring 22 points early on was a wake up call for the coaching team, defence and discipline were very poor in the first half; it may help the coach if he watched the game from behind the sticks occasionally. When compared to the Barrow halfbacks Leigh's were pedestrian and predictable, their playmaker going off was significant in the Leigh comeback.
I thought the ref had a good game tonight.

| Personally from what I have seen of John, he isn't ready for the first team. Agree that Gardner isn't breaking any glasses but he is the best we have at that postion and after his first 20 mins he didn't do that bad.

Really. Some of the calls were a bit iffy for me and I can't see how some of the blatant forward passes that we made were let go. They gave a forward pass that was perfectly ok then let one go that as a mile forward.

| I wonder sometimes if anybody watches the same game as me. First half, agreed, shocking. Ryan duffy not ready? debatable. These are the games he needs to be playing. what is he? 20 ish? in the front row? against a massive opposing front line? He made good yards throughout, without breaking any pots. He may have had his back turned, but he was aware of the attacker who broke, but didn't want to give a pen away, and incorrectly let the hooker go. That's how you gain experience, by making a dog's d*** of it every now and again. Bob beswick MOM? bored of saying this, never ever going to be a good halfback. The inside ball he constantly throws makes me want to leave the ground. Short kicking rather astute, good ball handling loose as an option. never a half. The frustrating thing in this side is that there is a quality 1-13 in there, but we seem to like picking folk out of place. I agree mcnally is the best fullback at the club. But he's probably the best 7 as well, and moving him to the halves would accommodate brierley, He can't be an impact player forever! is he going to be 30 and playing 30 mins a week? use him or lose him. Overall, not disappointed with the game tonight. the game itself was good to watch, but we must defend better than that, and i agree gardner probably could do with a weeks rest.

| Bob on Rennie sir. For all the 'playmakers' we have, we still need a running scrum half to partner Riddy.
Despite his MOM, I thought Beswick was bobbins. Hoppy or Duffy (second half version) MOM for me.

| Duffy is 19 for gods sake he wont be in his prime for another 5 years at least, and Bob Beswick yes like the rest he had a crap first half but in the second half he played well maybe not MOTM but that is chosen by the sponsor and if he thinks that, well he has his opinion just like on here if anyone wants to pick the official MOTM then you know what to do.
Liam Harrison was once nearly our player but he wouldn't move from Cumbria, he is a good player but for mine the best in this division as a forward is Michael Knowles from Sheffield, Harrison sometimes goes missing on defence but Knowles is like a machine.

Attendance was poor, but Thursday night against a team with a long journey, for their fans. Also it was FREEZING!

| Last nights game wasnt shocking , far from it , the first 20 Barrow played very well , give em credit , they ran the lines very good and its a pity for them Kaighan went off injured , however Leigh look comfortable in the end , but must realise more urgency is needed at times , and concentration for the full 80 .
It was the usual suspects standing out , Hoppy , Penky , Riddy , and Littler trying to motivate the team , but some players tend to hide at crucial times in the game , or make daft mistakes , i must admit Barrow played better than i expected ,Harrison never has a bad gad game he works so hard , but its 3 points , and heres hoping for a bigger crowd on Good Friday .See ya all then .

| Barrow played really well 1st half so credit to them but when we scored our 1st try I knew we would get back into the game ,we scored 7 unanswered tries. The try for Barrow when most of the players had their backs to the play was shocking defence though but, we won ,we are 4th in the table .
