I know he's not dc Alan. My point is with U20's scrapped and U23's age group changing down. The better youngsters will still be kept by the sl clubs and loaned out for game time. And the rfl will expect the champ clubs to accommodate this.

Ryan Duffy is a big lad and has played the last 7 or 8 games for Barrow in C1. He was brought in on DR due to an injury crisis and on his showings so far is average, in fact hes no better than we already had at the club. Thats not to say he wont improve over the next couple of years but dont expect miracles from him.

Its nowt we haven't heard before - we got all the same sorts of 'reviews' on Mills and Ostick.......but both turned OK when playing for us - maybe its all down to decent coaching!!

I'm sure you haven't - I was just pointing out that it's not the first time we've been told that 'player A' is 'average' or 'not much kop', or 'rubbish! you're welcome to him!', or whatever - only to find a different player to the one described!!

It cuts both ways - we've had players move on, and consoled ourselves with the usual 'he's not worth keeping - we've got bettter here now, etc'....only to see them flourish under a different coach.

Anyway - you'll get the chance, next season, to see first hand if he's the player you thought he was!!
