Alan im sure he was heartbroken  Do you honestly think he would have rather stayed at leigh on peanuts than gone back to KR where he would'nt have to work etc.Dont get me wrong he might have liked it at leigh but no way was he going to stay. |

I heard swinton are joining up with saints, not sure how true that is tho.All champ clubs to be feeder clubs within 2 yrs in my opinion

Agree with all of the above.
On a seperate note I managed to somehow delete my earlier post that Jesus responded to (gist of it being this a VERY poor idea and if our clubs current owners allow it then they should step aside - yes we may go bust but I'd take bust now then spending 5 years seeing gates dwindle as people realise we are now Salford Reserves and the club eventually going under)

IMO the 14 championship clubs should refuse to play ball. If they decide to expel us all then we would probably die. If we go along with this we will probably die. If you read this Trevor you can clearly see the majority on this thread up to now will walk away.
Me, well i will not watch a team whose makeup is 40% salford or any other SL team.
If you all grow some balls and get the media involved, where will 300+ U20s go? And how will the SL teams develop British players. Not good press.
You cannot beLeighve when only 70% of your playing roster is your own. Over to you Trevor and if i can't make it on Wednesday night can someone bring this thread to the clubs attention

He was under contract to, and being paid by, Warrington. He didn't 'have to work' as he was a full time player with Warrington. He was at Leigh on D/C - i.e. he just played for us, when not required by Warrington
Of course, he may have been made up at having to traipse over to Humberside four or five times a week, and then maybe not get a game. He WAS upset at having to leave Leigh.

Fingers crossed then, what a nice lad and its been wnderful watching him this season, hes made a connection with the fans and really has made a lot of our junior fans happy, with his unselfish attitude where he is the last to leave the pitch taking time signing autographs, having photos taken with the fans, he deserves to go far.
Both him and Riddy too have given up time to attend the fund raiser we had for young Connor early this season, in fact all our lads have all done their bit for the community and I get the feeling they all get on really well together and thats a big part of why we have been so sucessful this season.

Back on topic...
This would be a very bad day for RL in general and Leigh in particular if it comes to pass. I really cannot for the life of me see the benefit to Leigh or any Chanpionship club of any such arrangement. It helps you win a couple more games a season? Bit pointless if no-one is watching and also if there is no benefit from winning the matches in the first place.
And, if they really have to sign up to this farce, why on earth would they pick Salford, who are hardly any bigger than us?! That is really an insult on top of a farce.
