wel i am on sky, an quite happy yo remain on it, however if virgin do get premier sport as part of their package, then i will seriously consider switching, have to say i have had premier sport last season at a cost of 6.99 per month, what fantastic value it was, 5 live nrl games, and this season even better we have our very own league on.

Just been reported that talks between virgin and prem sports have broken down,it seems virgin media wanted them as a stand alone package,(as sky sports and sky movies) but prem sports wanted them to be included with current packs.(therfore reaching a wider audience) so it looks like we on virgin will have to wait a while longer!zzzzzzz.

I think Freds right, I think it'll be included in the XL package and subscription to the other packages, same as ESPN as I understand it.

Aw well looks like we will be at Leigh games anyway but in the pub for the others, an excuse to spend the money at the pub instead of giving it to Sky.

I would think it unlikely that many pubs will be subscribing. In this week's Leythcast, Saley mentioned that Leigh RU club were quoted £740 to subscribe to Premier Sports, so would need to effectively get £1,400+ of extra bar takings to make it worthwhile, something that isn't going to happen when the only real 'crowd puller' would be a couple of Leigh games.

I would like to get it for the NRL games, i really missed them when SKY SPORTS stopped showing them.

I am going to subscribe, send the family out Thursday nights and charge £10 a head. Lobby on tap with a beetroot chaser. Bring your own ale though.

The whole deal is doomed to failure

The coverage is going to be poor, no cash for the clubs, no chance of making anything from sponsorship, even the finals wont get the coverage they deserve

The sooner it ends the better, the sooner we can get this whole TV is the only solution to RL s cash problems out of our system the better

Time for the clubs to start to stand on their own two feet, to start the hard work and vision that is needed to survive and build a future we can all be proud of

A couple of grand a season each and the Championship clubs could all have their games (in better quality than I have to compress my vids on Blip.TV) streamed onto the internet (yes I know not every speccie has internet access) or have their own internet TV Channels from which the could benefit from negotiating their own sponsorship deals, for instance combining my youTUBE and BLIP.TV veivings this year so far they have recieved more than 4000 'hits', this sort of system should be a way forward or at least something that they should investigate.
