icons077e_files/4864-863FALH-msnicons.jpg How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?:icons077e_files/4864-863FALH-msnicons.jpg |

They`d be on a winner with the numbers going through that junction at those times....I can do 3 sudokus on each journey attempting to get over the greyhound.

The PSG is looking at putting some advertising at strategic parts of the borough , unfortunatley I haven't been able to attend a meeting for a month now , so I'm not sure if we have moved on this idea , but after Xmas hopefully things will move on this type of stuff'"
We were looking we're the traffic was stopped, a few examples were the bypass, king street, road towards tesco/police station way . Also on the way to arherton . The only problems we face are findig land like you said, alot is private or we will need permission. Trevor said you was up for using the mobile advert?

| I know it's obvious and may have been said at a meeting, but a good place is on the railings were Hilton park was , across from when you come out of Asda.

Thank you sir. I think that's a pretty prime one as that stretch of the bypass often has traffic waiting, even when Asda isn't particular busy. Immediately in front of the LSV would be good as well to give us something of an on-site presence.
It's very much in it's infancy of course but the club are prepared to help us out in terms of getting large 'Next match vs.....' banners in these strategic locations, but we're also planning to get smaller fixture lists and 'next match' posters to be distributed around shops if there are any shop owners on here who are prepared to display them or alternatively people who are willing to ask shops/pubs etc to display them.

| Just an Idea I had....
How about at each Bar/food area having the collection pots (the Charity type) where people could either make a donation or simply put their loose change in without the pressure of someone collecting it?
The old "Your club Needs you!" logo on it would go down well I think.....
Pennies make pounds and all that!

That's one thing I'd thought of in the past and certainly worth looking in to - I know that FC United already have something similar for their ground Development Fund so if people think that's worth looking in to then I'll speak to the folks involved (unless leigh_casual is reading this?!)

| How about on the fencing at The Goose, the fence that looks onto the bus station, where we had the Leigh flag last season, would need permission off the Goose but wouldn't think it would be a problem.

I did bear that in mind but the impression I got that day was that very few buses go around that particular route in the bus station so it isn't anywhere near as visible as you might first think. With a limited budget, I think it's best to aim for areas with much more passing traffic etc. Trying to work with Maytree Travel in particular (who operate the LSV bus route) is certainly high up on our priority list though.

| The bucket collection would need authourising by the pubs/bars . The only downside is bars will probably say no because a member of staff would have to keep a eye on it.
I like the idea about small signs up the bypass

| If you want to go into Hindley Green area then the railings at the traffic lights outside the Bethel, you get a few advertising on them, and it's a good vantage point going from Leigh to Hindley, or Atherton.
