Don't cry any tears for these barstewards who were piggy backed up and down the field by one of there own refs, yes I know he's a kiwi but were does he want to ref?
Nice to see the players have some fire back in there bellies with a couple of punch ups,its what we have been missing for years'"

As I'm absolutely certain you held the same view when 2 players you probably wouldn't refer to as a 'hunchbacked freak' - Sam Burgess and Ben Westwood, recently 'tried to maim' FuiFui Moimoi and Jordan James with shoulder charges I won't ask you to confirm it.
What was your view about the criticism of the performance Ranghi Chase by his new coach Ian Millward in the post-match discussion on BBC TV ?

| Wake up guys we're still not within a million miles of the Aussies.
Before we carry on with the ref nonsense. Yes the England "double movement" try should have stood, and yes Williams probably should have seen red. But everything else was spot on. As for NRL refs, Bentham let loads more holding down go last week in the game between Aus & NZ - every tackle there was a full-on wrestle. So no point to be made there.
Positives - Tomkins cost me a fair bit of money by not scoring but had a great game linking in to all our attacking plays. Class performance. And Ryan Hall more than proved himself on the international stage with 2 excellently taken tries.
Negatives - Rangi Chase was absolute dog poop for the second game in a row. Sinfield was just overrated (again). Westwood has gone beyond "penalty machine" and is now in the classification of "complete liability" - first touch in both last 2 games has been a stupid penalty conceded, allowed Slater to steal the ball far too easily 1 on 1 when attacking their line early on, and the last Aussie try was started and finished by you-know-who (high shot on Thaiday to give them position, followed by complete missed tackle (not even close) to let them over). And probably much more I've tried to forget. But Eddie & Stevo love him so I'm sure all will be forgiven.
The Slater injury was a big leveller - without it we wouldn't have even been in the game. But if anybody will see the advantage from it it's NZ, especially if Williams also ends up missing the final after the "on-report".
Great effort England, but against a relatively poor Aussie side (compared to recent years) we're kidding ourselves if we think the gap is narrowing.
Come on Kiwis in the final.

| What a great game that we could have won.
The loss of Ellis and Graham cost us, and showed why 2 props are needed on the bench. Peacock, Westwood and Morley stepped up to take the strain brilliantly though.
The high shot and the disallowed try probably cost us the match, but Briscoe should have gone in the corner instead of stepping inside.
Tomkins is pure class, the RFL should pawn the crown jewels to keep him in RL.
Chase is an enigma, great running at them but never a playmaker - that brainfart at the 20m tap let them in the game when we should have been creating field position.
Fantastic game live on the BBC played in front of a decent crowd.

| Well beaten by probably the weakest Australian team for a long time. In the England team only Sam Tomkins is truly world class.

| So if England do mission impossible and beat NZ and Aus in the final then excuses are there already to put England down.
Only in RL.

| For some every generation is worse than the last, that will be the case in most sports.
There is less space on the park now due to fitness and structures but as the Cons have RL as 'the' sport, and RU is now fully pro, they will always be ahead and we will always have to take the opportunities as they arise.
We have a unity issue, caused by policy, and have a smaller pool to select from, also caused by policy, but intl sport is the pinnacle and we should have beat them yesterday.
