I don't know WHY I bother

The reason people are getting fed up is the lack of info. We just want to know what's happening so if a player signs for another club we just want to be told. We all know things are a bit up in the air but a simple statement saying "David mills has decided to sign a contract with Swinton lions next season. The club would like to thank David for his efforts last season and wish him well fir the future" would be so easy and much appreciated!

It will probably be in the Journal/Reporter next week

Maybe the club don't know they've gone until the other club announce they've signed them.

That may or may not be so col,i don't know,but that still doesn't stop them putting something on the club website like they did with Milward,Hill and ellis,

Would it not be better to inform the clubs supporters rather than make then go searching other clubs websites for infomation.

Until terms have been sorted between player and club, the club can not tell you anything.

So far as lack of info: you are more informed now than ever about who comes and goes. If anyone wants to know more info as it happens, dip your hand in your pocket and join the management board. Until then wait until it is official.

You may find some clubs websites jump the gun before signings are official. Just proves how unprofessional they are.

More professional Club Sites only publish officially approved information. The Leigh site management team so far as I know only publish OFFICIAL news.

There is a comment as to when we read it in the Reporter or Journal. You will find news appears in these publications when it is official.

Be patient and don't forget the old saying of don't believe all you read.

The club is in a no win situation with this. They don't announce people leaving, and folk moan that there is "no communication or transparency".
Had they made a series of announcements, it just adds fuel to the "We're all doomed" debate - "damned if you do - damned if you don't"!!

Just out of curiosity - of all the names that have been banded about in the last few weeks - how may of the following have DEFINATELY (ideally with a link to verify) 'moved on to pastures new'??

If that does turn out to be the extent of the damage - and we re-sign the remainder of this season's squad - then, on the whole, we'll have the core of a decent team for next season.
OK, Front row is an area of concern (especially if the rumours about Bibey are also true) - and Ellis will be a hard act to follow, but it could have been a whole lot worse!!
The number one priority is Basil's replacement - if we get the right man in place, the future can be bright.

Donlan, Mills, Armstrong, Higson and Nanyn have all definitely left and the links are the on the Cas/Swinton/Halifax websites (far too lazy to dig the links up, but they're there )

It will all be balanced out with our signings as they come through, and better to get the bad news out of the way first, I reckon!
