I don't disagree with that Lynda but will other people support it? if not what will be built?

Gutted he couldn't wait another week.
We will be alright when we get this sorted but the way fans are being kept in the dark is not the way we should be running a community club.
Swinton have a benefactor, 1000 gates and LSV costs with no income streams would kill them otherwise.

It annoys me as a Swinton fan to see so much negativity on here about us.

I dont know how many of you know the details, but we have significantly reduced costs at the LSV due to only one stand being opened on match days (except im guessing when we play you).

Our chairman John Kidd isnt the richest man in the world but he does have money, and hes Swinton through and through, he not a business man looking to make any significant profits for himself.

If any of you actually read the article on Tom Armstrong you will understand that he is concentrating on his studies and only playing part-time. Now im assuming in his eyes looking at Leighs position they couldnt garuntee him a contract and so hes looked elsewhere for assurance hes playing the highest level of rugby he can in his personal position. Being a saint helens lad the next obvious choice in our league would be us. And why not, a championship one winning side who have retained almost their full squad, with a few quality additions and a coach with a very good reputation and track record. Were not kidding ourselves, were not trying to get in S.L we want to produce an entertaining brand of rugby as we did last year and earn a respectable position in the Championship.

Our squad consists of young players with bags off effort but maybe not the most quality (who arnt demanding much money), quality experienced players i.e. Ian Watson and Mark Smith, (who at the back end of their careers arn't asking for much money, but are still motivated to play) and this year we are signing a handful of quality signings to strengthen the squad and add the extra push and spark needed at this higher level. These players may want more money but there are only a few. I.e Chaz I'anson and now Tom Armstrong (and as rumour has it a couple more of your lads).

We are not busting the bank and we dont have a hidden benefactor. We are just being run sensibly for a club our size and have realistic ambitions.

We are not negative about Swinton-just jealous!

In fairness they haven't signed half the big players they were supposedly linked with and at the end of the day there are only 10 championship sides... These lads have got to sign somewhere?

The problem is, we have been asking players to wait another week for the last three weeks! They want to secure their future and as each days passes more and more of them will sign elsewhere.

Have you even Ben able to put offers to them for next season yet?
I.e. They may hold on and find Leigh offering a lot less than past offers rebuffed.

Can't blame the lad, got his life and career to think about. Good luck to him and of course everyone else who will probably move on from the club. The main thing is that we still have a club.

I`ll support the lads playing for Leyth next season and thank the lads who played last season.

plenty of fax players from last season still not signed up for clubs yet. many who the fans did not want to lose. beswick, bannister plus others.

I wouldn't be surprised if Basil doesn't take a punt on Beswick, he's a big fan of his, but last time I heard Beswick was being linked with Wakey

I will be supporting Leigh next season but it doesn't stop me being absolutely pig sick about it ! I was hoping he would sign for us but with nothing but silence coming from the club what do we expect ,I am not happy and seeing that I will be buying my season ticket for next year I have a right to be annoyed fed up take your pick
