I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned Worrincy slipping over. Had he stayed on his feet then he'd have scored barring a superhuman effort from Donlan which to me made it the right call even before getting to the size of the overlap from the play the ball.
If the Ref had blown right away the players and fans would probably have gone mad because he definitely looked like scoring until he slipped and he thought so too ,as for Matt Calland I felt really sorry for him he was absolutely gutted ,he was coming down the steps thinking its going to be extra time but before he got to the bottom Leigh scored
Yeah well done to Matt Calland for keeping his head in the post match interview, it would have been easy for him to feel particularly hard done by but I can understand why the ref played on because even when Worrincy slipped they still bombed another chance afterwards.
Donlan was closing in and McGillvray was homing in so there's no guarantee he'd have scored anyway.
