Not sure he's any where near the club, his company are sponsoring John Duffy and Robbie Paul and as Fred says he's had a box. Remember quite a few broken promises from him in his infamous tenure, as for always being a Leigh fan, I think he has been when it suits. Didnt he take his bat and ball to Rochdale for a while????

| At what age is it compulsory to become a Leigh fan ?
I was one when still at junior school , but went probably a whole decade without attending a match ( I might have gone the odd one or two , but don't actually remember ) , so do I count
Maybe Dereck was a late developer to the sport of RL , yes he did follow our former coach to Spotland for a while , but then again he has in the past been on the recieving end of abuse and threats from some of our own fans , I do know for a fact he is still a Leigh fan , and does what he can to support the club , still as mad as a barrel of frogs like  , but that's Dereck  |
