I think the squad has more quality than last season. Agreed still not enough pace perhaps but we've got options with regards to dual reg players as someone pointed out. I'm not a big fan of it, if the lad is right on the cusp of the first team then his time with us will be very limited but you get a quality player in that sense. I just thought the comings and goings upset the balance of the side later in last season.

All in all I think its going to be an exciting season. Our league is strong given the budget constraints and will produce some excellent rugby.

We need a couple of big tough forwards like Timmy Street as it is going to be a long tough season and we haven't got a lot of experience in depth in the forwards. Hopefully the rumour about David Mills will come to fruition. Basil would get the best out of him.

perhaps millward is thinking the same and is a bit iffy about having all four of them at once.

Their was talk you are still / again interested in Lee Doran, after releasing squad numbers pretty early would be a suprise if many more big signings are made... but then again you never know!

Doran be a good signing for Leigh.
