Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

Surely ' preaching to the converted ' ?

Yes, in that purchasers are already in/about to enter the stadium. Nevertheless, I have always 'thirsted' for information about RL.
Publicity to attract people to the stadium, is a different matter, albeit a more vital one.

| Glad to here we are carrying on with our programme.
Sorry to see game on go in one respect (our home games - It came with our programme so nearly 2 for 1), although at least at away grounds we might get the old style club programmes back that when looking back years later you'll know whose match it was you went to

| While in theory the ' game on ' idea is/was a good one , with modern technology , I would have thought it fairly simple for the RFL to provide ' published pages ' via e mail to clubs individual printers which could then be used to ' pad out ' clubs own magazines , or visa versa ,clubs provide their own personalised content for a centralised printer fitted round RFL provided propoganda

There were two major problems for the printers:
1) They struggled to get info. in time from the clubs.
2) The clubs weren't paying them! (prompting another 'we'll take the money out of your funding" response from the RFL.)
I think 'Fax were turning one of your suggestions on it it's head by inserting their pages in 'Game On'.
Incidentally, the RFL did attempt to introduce the 'Game On' concept in SL a few years ago, but W***n refused to participate. Before it could take off, the appointed printer went bust!

No the inference was that was what the RFL did with all Championships clubs programmes and that been the reason that they asked for 2 of them as apposed to 1. IT WAS A JOKE

With all due respect to those clubs, but some of the staff at some barely know how to use a telephone, a lot never bother to check the e mails never mind not having an e mail address, and the RFL are one of the worst i've been waiting since March for an answer to my losing my match day acreditation and asking for a replacement, as Im not waiting for a reply to order this years for my 'team' at Leigh we are lucky in having someone who knows technology and isn't afraid to use it (though he has been a bit slow on settng up a Twitter account despite his brother nagging him
