| It'll be at least a week and half before we're in a position to start selling proper. (waiting on the new consignment of cards), but Hopefully the early bird offer will catch the eye of a few folk.

Full release(apolgies if Andrew has already done a link)..........
Following the dramatic climax to 2011 Co-operative Championship season, Leigh Centurions Chairman Arthur Thomas has once again called for the support of everyone in Leigh if they want professional rugby league in the town to continue.
“We have had a successful season at the LSV finishing 3rd in the domestic season and although we dipped out in the play offs we got to the Semis of the Northern Rail Cup.
When we signed Ian Millward as head coach expectations grew and then with the wonderful start we had they grew even higher. So the disappointment of defeat in the Play offs and Northern Rail hit harder. We now need to take the club to another level and to do that we need the support of everyone in Leigh, businesses and individuals alike.
Rumours have been rife since I took over as Chairman, about all these individuals in Leigh who would get involved and help us out. I have offered to anyone who is interested the opportunity to come on board and take this great club back to where it belongs which is at the very top of Rugby League in the UK. My offer remains!
I will continue to my utmost ability to take the club forward but I cannot do it alone, we have a small but dedicated staff at the club, a small and dedicated crowd of spectators and a loyal band of sponsors and corporate clients but we need more.
To our season ticket holders I would like to thank you because I know money is tight these days but as a supporter it really is the best way you can support the club. I have heard many people saying we should let kids in free and the parents will follow. We have a very active community department who visit more schools than any club in our division, either through coaching or participating in assemblies, and tickets are available to all, but the take up has been disappointing.
I honestly think that there is much apathy in the town and there are many people sat at home thinking I will go for the big games or wait until they get to Super League but a harsh reality needs to kick in, if we don’t get the support we need now that dream will never be realised.
Leigh Centurions are unable to apply for a Super League franchise due to a shortfall in three distinct areas.
1.We need average crowds of 2500
Our average totalled 2309 this year so when the club asks fans to bring along a friend or offers incentives like reductions on general admission prices, through season ticket sales you can see why even one more spectator can make a difference and that we are not so far away in ticking another Super League box
2. We need to reach a Grand Final or Win the Northern Rail Cup
Whilst we were very disappointed in not reaching the Northern Rail or Grand Finals, tremendous progress has been made on and off the pitch, and the club should be congratulated. Progress has been made over the past couple of years and there is an air of optimism at Leigh Centurions.
3. We need a turnover in excess of £1 million pounds pre VAT
This target is one where everybody's help would be appreciated. We need your thoughts and ideas as to business development opportunities. We have over the last 2 years seen the introduction of the Corporate club which is ably run by Sean and Martin McCall from Redwaters, Trevor Lloyd from Orford Investments and Simon Cooke from Cooke and Company Estate agents. This has introduced valuable income and business opportunities yet there is massive scope for further interaction and income raising objectives and targets. This is in addition to the valued financial support from LISA for which the club is grateful.
We are playing Rugby League at the best stadium in the game with the best spectator facilities and now is the time for the whole town to unite as one. Together we can be as good as we want to be and never has the terminology ‘united we stand divided we fall’ been more meaningful.”
Yours in sport.
Arthur Thomas
Chairman
Leigh Centurions

For primary school age, yes. Unfortunately, the high school ones are 2 quid short of being double the price for a kid of the same age to buy a season ticket at Wigan for next season, so let's hope kids get the Leyth bug while they're younger!

| Would love to see these prices on the front cover of the Journal and Reporter. The outer cover is advertising space and every house in the area gets at least one of them.
Seems like the easiest way of getting this info out to the public

Cheers.
Do you know if this is the Junior ST that was a Tenner last year or is that one that the RFL do for all clubs ?

I'd have made ALL kids (16 or younger) 25 quid......but I suppose this would involve a uniform agreement of all the CH/CH1 clubs (assuming they still inc. away games as well??) Does anyone know how those Jnr. prices stack up with the rest of the league?

953.jpg 2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg |
|
| The RFL do not do one for all the clubs. The club keeps all the money from the junior tickets and I don't think there is a set figure. The Junior tickets, as far as I know also allow you into away games too so if a primary school child attended all eligible games it would work out at £1 per game.
I have only looked at Fax and Widnes tickets and we are cheaper than them. As for comparison to W£$%n tickets, that may be true, but we don't get a million quid sky money or extensive TV coverage which leads to more high profile sponsorship.
We have this every year...'let the kids in for nowt'.....but I would confidently predict that if we did that....we'd then have....'why can't the parents control their kids' as they hurtle around the North Stand causing mayhem and nuisance. Still at least it would be something different to talk about instead of the same old.

No, the options are pay in full before the deadline for the early bird offer or spread the cost @ £20 per month of the full price offer.
Now thats the pricing done right, great open letter from Arthur so lets see a bit of selling on the back of a signing or two and its up to us fans to spread the word and get a few back.
