Scoring for fun in a poor league with good players around him.
Lets not remember the lads main weakness his defence.

| From what I have been told they are a victim of their own success.
They did not budget to win so many games ,but why are people slagging in them off .
We should as a sport rally round them how much money have the RFL pumped into the QUINS ,CRUSADERS AND THE FROGS to keep them going.
Blackpool have a lot of local lads in their squad and giving coaching opportunities to local English lads to.
So instead of acting like a pack of Vultures lets look at the bigger picture they are a Lancashire club so lets support them not kick them in the teeth when they are down.
I thought Leythers where Rugby Lovers

| I can only see one real 'slagging off' post Mick and thats from a self confessed 'Super league is great' person, What I did say in a previous post somewhere on here was that once their chairman (now ex) got involved then expect trouble, something which is proved true.

| Not at a pop at you Fred just think some people are to quick to jump on the bandwagon sometimes.
John Chadwick their chair seems a decent bloke and loves rugby , as most of you know we have our kids finals at Fylde and this year we had a double booking with the Panthers down to play Doncaster the same day as our finals.
John phoned me and we had a good chat and the result being the Panthers re-arranged their game for a Friday night how many pro clubs would have done that for the amateurs not many trust me.
My point is the RFL should step in and help Blackpool not let them go under ,they have a squad of good honest lads quite a few originating from Leigh and they deserve some support surely ?

I guess that's in terms of offering big win bonuses?
It's a huge shame for any club to be in trouble but again it's the only spend what you can afford... Widnes felt this trying to get into SL 2007 (Tbh I think Fax are doing the same a bit). My only issue as mentioned is the RFL will bail out SL sides who overspend (with more money) yet not lower league sides, should be strict set rules and a big review each season of the salary cap which in principle 40% turnover seems ok!

| No I know you werent Mick (for once )
I totally agree they spout on about expansionism and all's I see is clubs out of Soooooper league going to the wall, it may well be the fault of BoD's and Chairmen but at the end of the day whilst there may not be many speccies at Blackpool its they who suffer.
This may be harsh but until ALL Championship and Ch 1 chairmen get together and agree to work together for the common good of RL then this will still keep happening over and over and there but for the grace of 'im upsteers' there go all of us.
They could do with having a word with Starbug he may be a bad tempered crotchetty old so and so but he does have a few good ideas that would benefit not only the semi pro's but the amateur clubs as well.

Do the Oystons still bankroll the football team?
For me Blackpool is an obvious fit for summer rugby - just need somone with a bit of vision, and a few bob to back them, to get the folk of Blackpool to realise that too!! If they approched it the right way, they could be easily getting 4 figure crowds, with weekend packages for away supporters, and season ticket deals tied into the football team.
And the other no brainer - they've got to try and keep hold of Martin Crompton!!

| When did Widnes sign Millward and Robbie Paul?
J20 happens to be a Chemic, now the phrase to be used by you is 'sorry I apologise'
