Think sales are well over 9,000 and that's without the traditional "week of the game" rush - would expect it to be close to a sell out, personally.

I heard that nearly 10k had been sold, hope that's true. I just don't think we've ever had such a great opportunity to promote a game. We've got 10-12k people coming 4 days before a big semi final. I know loads of Rugby League fans going to the England game that don't watch Leigh, what if a hundred people enjoy going to both games, get to be familiar with the surroundings, where to park and love the facility and the atmosphere? Maybe if we get 100 regular Leythers out of it? Is that not a achievable target?

Can we still put our Leigh flags up and if so perhaps add something about the price of the tickets on them so that it gets seen by those that are not coming to the game.

are we sure many leythers are going who dont usually watch Leigh? judging on the 'launch' evening when I would have expected loads of leythers there there was not that many, and you missed a great evening.

Jonny the only thing Leyth-related about next Saturday is the red and white seats - it's an England game and, to be quite honest, I wouldn't be happy if I was a non-Leyther coming to watch our national side and had Leyth promotions rammed down me throat all night.

(At a push, you can include at least two St. George's flags that are Leigh ones that will be up in the North Stand )

An idea may be to make it half price for season ticket holders of any rugby league side as an admission price, then even if only our own and Batleys turn up the loss wouldnt be that great.

Putting a few billboards up, an advert on the screen and maybe something in the programme wouldn't be ramming it down poeples throats. They don't have to go. It will be a poor attendance on the thursday without season ticket holders and it being on telly.

In that case we'll have to agree to disagree Jonny as I think the RFL have enough of a job on their hands to get rid of the 'club first' mentality that dogs the national side without lending favour to us advertising upcoming games.

Nobody is bothered about the NRC until the semi final comes around, i think we got a poor gate last year too in the QF.

Who cares if Leigh get 1,800 against Batley in a couple of weeks.

I care, I want my club to be successful and attendances in sport are a measure of success. If we beat Batley we have made a final, which is a big deal when you support a small club.

Matt I understand completely what you are saying about club mentality, I agree that an England game should be the priority for everyone, this is where clubs are the problem.
