Totally Wrong!
We broke 2 or 3 times on our left second half and could have put the game to bed early had we had some pace on Madens wing.
Yes Maddo is showing desire and commitment this season and looks leaner but Stanton has the pace to put sides on the back foot like Ballard did for Barrow.

Modern day RL rarely calls for Wingers on the bench.

Think the lights might have had a bearing as well. Can't see feck all when the ball gets in the line of the lights

| Well I rate him and although he might not be the tallest he is in great physical shape and is very quick.Alex wasn't that tall was he and he did ok in his playing days.
Following this not big enough discussion why did we re-sign Durbin for example ?
Having said that though I am quite happy to have IM picking the team.

Neither of them are wingers, and as such won't get pumelled with the high ball.

It was definitely Rooney's fault! I think he kicked it too high and Stuart lost it in the super turned-up-for-telly HD lighting.

10303_1313522771.jpg Bolton by birth,
Irish by blood,
LEYTHER by heart and soul!!
30/04/06 "Some of W*gan's travelling fans headed towards the exit before it was even over.".................no change there then!![/quote:suio7kr3]
.....They are our people. Drummond, Costello, Manfredi, Svabic, Martyn, Street, Tickle, Patel, Mossop, Horo, Bristow, Leuleui, Varley, Fleary, Rivett, Tabern, Doran, Woods, Donlan, Wilshire, Leaefa, Hansen, Sale, Murphy… these are all my people.
As a Leyther, you’re one of us the moment you come here to wear the shirt. I don't care where you were born, what colour you are, what religion you are, what language you speak. You're one of us, part of our culture, writing our history as you create your own, and making us stronger for it....[/quote:suio7kr3]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10303.jpg |

A certain Mr. Drummond (formally of this 'parish') was not exactly a giant of a man either.......and he did alright for himself!!
Stanton and Nanyn should be a leathal wing/centre pairing in this division......they just don't get anywhere near enough ball!! Although that has improved from last season!!!

At least a couple of times against the same opposition last year (at Barrow) when Rooney was giving him a nightmare. More recently, at York, where he was outjumped for their second try, from Thorman's kick.
That said, he should get a degree of support from his team mates on those kicks and, if he was given the running opportunities, he would probably more than make up for letting the odd one in, by scoring a few!

..... and I'll be standing in the Hilton Park stand, yes that's right I've named the North Stand myself: |
|
| Well I'd pick Stanton ahead of Maden every week.
I understand what people are saying about him under the kicks etc but there was a couple of times when we spinned it wide and Maden didn't back himself and came inside and to be honest I'm 99.9% confident that Stanton would have got in at the corner.

Those were the examples my failing memory came up with! That said, I come from the school that believes that if you have the pace, and all other attributes are similar to your other wingers, then you should get picked, on the wing.
