1972.jpg Looking forward to next season already!
Leyther and Loyal:1972.jpg |
|
| Jamie Kennedy was 99 as well. Ian Millward's first season, think he played at Hull KR the following year.
The list was for players 2000-2009.

I concur, especially when you remember that brain fart Sid had in the last couple of minutes in that game which would have clinched the game for us!!!!

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

That would be the game I have never seen ' I was at Warrington taking my coaching badge that day , some would suggest that I wasted my time

I thought we signed him from HKR as a direct replacement for Adam Bristow or was it the other way around.

Other way round. Remember thinking we'd have a hell of a job replacing Kennedy, and then from nowhere appeared Bristow

The best two loose forwards we have had for twenty years, pity they never played in the same team.

I knew there'd be one.
Looking at that list of Centre's, we haven't exactly been blessed over the past decade.
In 2004, Ben was a very good centre for us. Didn't he score 2 tries in the GF vs Whitehaven? Admittedly he had a bad year in SL, but didn't everyone (except Stapleton)?

..... and I'll be standing in the Hilton Park stand, yes that's right I've named the North Stand myself: |
|
| I realise it's all about opinions but I'm not sure how anyone could possibly pick a Leigh team without Tim Street in it, each to their own but Brads never lived up to the billing for me.
Quote: DParky "I've seen this thread running on a couple of other boards and thought it would be a good thing to run on here.
As we are nearing the end of the first decade in the 21st Century I was thinking of the players that had played for Leigh in each position and came up with the following list (some players are listed in more than one position). The only stipulation I set myself was that the player must have played at least 15 first team games for Leigh.

| Thought Wilshere and Maden went well in SL as well and Duffy played his socks off with very little help.
Personally I thought Chris Percival was an awesome centre. What a try scoring record he had when we signed him, such a shame his career was cut short by injury.
