If their Stadium isn't up to Standard, they should be relegated! These Super League Clubs have had long enough to bring their grounds up to scratch. Dewsbury didn't gain Super League entrance as their Ground was deemed unsuitable!

I have a major problem with any other rugby team playing at LSV. This was developed in principle for Leigh RL and Leigh Genesis. OK Blackburn are playing there now and after Monday's match, the turf was getting cut by the end. Like other posts have said, Salford lied, as their own development business went bust the day after they got their SL license. Sod em.

They might as well let Leigh into SL and let Salford stay at The Weeping Willows.

Lets face it - the RFL could award a franchise to a team with slim/no hope of building their own stadium, playing from a nice stadium away from their supporters - or they could give a franchise to a team playing in a nice stadium in their own town.

I'm biased, but I know what I would choose.

The first franchise club (Celtic) moves ground and area , loses virtually every game and gets caught out for employing illegal immigrants.

The 2nd franchise club has had some unseen problems getting the new ground they said they'd have and the support and imagination of the Manchester public they said they'd attract.

I actually cannot knock either of those clubs (or there chairmen - definatly not their fans) as they can only do what they allowed to get away with by the governing body (and if the games 2 biggest winning clubs play out of old fashioned stadia then why should Celts & City Reds waste player contract money building grounds that will always be half empty)

It does beg the question of the validity of future franchise process's as its blatantly apparant that the RFL didn't dig very deep when getting long term assurances /plans during the last process from many clubs currently in SL.

The Criteria WILL change or too many current SL clubs will be demoted.
