I tried everything Mish but all I could get on was the link anyway cheers Marto. As to the pic. No it's not Ste Fitz. Ste had already been signed for a couple of years when that was taken. His brother Sean (who passed away a few years ago. god rest his soul. ) was in the team the year before but had moved on being over 19. Great lad too Sean. And it is Wayne back row left. Played againt some good players that year. Brian Noble, Lee Crooks, there were loads of them. Happy days. Oh by the way I am second in from the righ,t back row.

The lad bottom right Glow is another great lad Darren Walls. Brother of Les another great player to wear the Leigh shirt and the son of Alf who I still see at some games. You wont meet a more passionate man for Leigh RL than ALF. Used to bollock me up and down the pitch in training and during a game if I messed up. Related to Stan I think. |

He`s not been too well recently and was back in hospital in Oz, where he emigrated to a few years back.......Not a bad lad who was back to these shores earlier this year........ |

Paul Baxter lives near me now,just recently had a hip replaced,i think he has to have the other replaced soon! and they say football players have it rough! i speak to Paul most weekends!he always asks about Leigh!

 Happened to be on holiday at the same time and place as Paul and his family a couple of years ago, always been keen swimmer since his rugby days, seen him at the baths on several occasions, I didn't know he even had a hip problem. |
