6.39 would be a proper wierd KO time?!
I actually think 6.30pm Saturday could be a good KO time for Leigh.
Most people who watch local football teams (Genesis, Wanderers, Latics, etc) would have time to get from home games to the LSV.
Shouldn't be too late for kids, leaves Sunday free for families/amateur sports, easier for away fans to get to than a Friday evening game.
It's also a pretty good time to make it part of a night-out (game finishes at about 8.20pm, perfect time to have a pint then get a taxi into town).
It's very rare that any of the teams (RL or otherwise) in the area kick off at that time.
I think it might actually be easier to attract 'the corporate crowd' to a Saturday evening game - as a business it's probably easier to entertain clients, etc. in an evening than an afternoon?

| Good post that.
Add to it afternoon activities outside the stadium, drinks, BBQ, music, etc, in our glorious summer sunshine and you're catering for every element of the support.

| How many actually watch Leigh and Bolton?
Bolton only drew in 22k on the first match after a massive price reduction..sunderland brought 5k of that crowd so bolton on the big kick off to the season dragged in 17k home fans
Went watching them in a friendly against hibs and said then bolton wouldn,t score many goals this year
The evening kick offs are a option for leigh I suppose on a saturday never a big fan for the friday.....would sunday night work?

| If games are played on a Sunday night then match reports in the RL press would be a no go as the deadlines are around 8pm for copy on a monday.
(it would also mean back to 3am bedtimes for me as it used to be in the pre DVD days )

Quite a few, all the Bolton fans in Leigh I know also follow the rugby (not weekly though ) but I don't think its enough to warrant changing kick off times in my opinion.
But if you add City, Utd, Liverpool etc, theres a decent number, espsically if they're on telly in the pubs.

| To be honest the so called fans who follow there football team in the pub have no intention of going to any live match of any kind rugby or football
There the usual numpties who have the latest football shirt and shout and cheer in the pub when someone scores then goes back to playing on the bandit and look up when someone scores

Rubbish. I follow Bolton but no longer go watching them on a regular basis, but I've not missed a single Leigh game so far this season
Saw a number of people in BWFC shirts who'd clearly been to the Reebok beforehand, for what it's worth.

Only because you can do the double header with Genesis Matt
If the day/time is going to change then let's put it to a general vote, I still prefer REGULAR Sundays and despite the rubblings on this forum I don't think I'm in a minority !

| Must say I enjoyed the Saturday evening game, set it up nicely for a session afterwards and still had a day to recover

| Last saturday was ok for a one off but i would prefer sundays 3pm. If it did move to saturday nights I honestly think I would leave getting a season ticket as I would not be able to make all matches.
