I have it from a very reliable source that there is absolutely no truth in a showdown with alstead and the directors. It would be interesting to see who started that rumour!

Alstead is a leyther through an through and is as solid as they come. After two shoulder operatons i am not surprised it has taken a while to get his fitness back.

True - and they had a very dangerous pairing out on the left! I wasn't thrilled, when we re-signed Dave, but I readily admit that, once fit, he would be one of the first names on my team list, now.

Been a very solid performer for us over the past few years and once fit again this year I'm sure he'll start recapture his form again.
