The various fairs are held in the Sports Hall so parking would be the problem on a match day.

We have 'clashed' with many a fair on a match day, they are usually over by 1pm, and if they are not the stewards usually direct all traffic onto the car park behind the North Stand until the South car parks are clear, (we are normally at the LSV by 12.30 on a match day)

This one is 9.30 - 4.30.

A relative has been to the LSV today to book the legends bar for a function in September. They were told that they could book it but would have to cancel it if Leigh were at home in a play off game.

Just to clarify the point, I was actually supporting your argument, and refuting the points of a number of Leythers, that Fev have probably played at ours as many times in midweek, as we have at yours, in recent years. In other words, it just isn't right that we are always being put on.

Exactly, so why can't we play on the Sunday when the 'small function' is on? For what it's worth I'm not bothered which day it's on but I don't like being lied to.

If the LSV have said we can't play Sunday because there's a small function on then it's the LSV. We've done it before and we can do it again.

If the reason is that the LSV have chosen to allow Swinton to play on the Sunday rather than us, then just say so.

If the reason is that the club don't want to play when there's a function on because they won't be able to use the big room, thus losing valuable revenue on corporate tickets, then why not just say so? It's a perfectly valid reason.

I'm just not sure who's pulling who's strings that's all.

Nobody has officially made any comment other than Fevs CEO as far as I'm aware and certainly not Leigh Centurions or LSV.

Your making statements without knowing the facts, I will gladly enlighten you as a trusted former colleague on the communications team but not on a public forum.

I can put your mind at rest nobody is pulling anyones strings, people are working together on matters to make things work for all parties in a sensible business like manner.

We will make our official statements when the time is right and via the correct professional channels.

Im honestly am perplexed by this thread and the compete over reaction to a potential one off possible change of day from a Sunday to a Friday night which is still neither denied or confirmed officially by any of the parties concerned.

Suppose it shows how well we must be doing as a club if this is one of the major bones of contention
