Is the Kolpak situation relevant? Tried reading regs but totally confused. Tongans are kolpak (not sure why) and Vea and Langi are Tongan although born in Oz. Shame that RFL can't explain stuff - perhaps if we paid em more?

I've been told that Burr is off quota for the length of his contract due to the Bradford situation which is why we offered him a longer deal.
Good business if correct. Been a great signing.

Not that I'm aware of..But think 50% of their cap value will remain on the parent club cap. |

I've asked many times what the exemption rules where for Burr. I maybe missing something,but pretty sure his initial contract was for 12 months,although the club stated he "originally signed a three year deal in January." Either way unless I've missed someone.

Doesn't really matter, you can still only have 7 (or 8 including Burr this year) players that didn't play in Northern hemisphere between 16-21.
So far we have Paterson, Drinkwater, Stewart, Brown, Vea, Mortimer, Langi and Burr as our allowed overseas non-fed players.
One will have to make way for Goodwin. If Burr's exemption is only for initial 12 months, then someone else will also have to make way.
I suspect there will be one or two departures, but that's a discussion for when the season ends... |

Two have already made way- Weston and Tonga. Mortimer and Goodwin their contracted replacements for next season. If we keep Burr (no exemption for next year as I understand it) and Langi 2 of the others will have to go |
