Im old enough to remember us winning the challenge cup with Murphy, now imagine the feeling if it was announced that he had signed for warrington before he played in the final. The news is out now a Sam is making himself look a bit daft, but it ultimately was us "Leigh" who confirmed the news first so lesson learned and put it behind us.
The next time we have some big announcement to make (like O2 giving us a 3 years sponsorship deal) keep it under your hat until the appropriate time.

It was a daft call announcing it at a LISA meeting and adding, "keep it under your hats". It was always on the cards that someone wouldn't.

That's what I thought. To be fair to Andy he didn't want to mention anyone but somebody at the back said he was told a "named signing" would be revealed at the meeting and Andy was boxed in for an answer.
Im sure that in the excitement and desire to show the fans how the new board are taking strides to improve the club, Andy got carried away (Im sure he will keep tight lipped in future) Apart from being a director he's also a fan just like us and when he has some good news ( like Spenners has also been signed) he likes to share it
