Quote Bent&Bongser="Bent&Bongser"How many Leigh lads will be turning pro for Leigh next season, Harry? There's plenty of lads (though not Leythers) at Saints that have turned pro to train and play but won't be getting a game there until they're battle hardened and have proven their merits. They'll be giving it their all in OUR Cherry & White to do that and, if their doing so helps Leigh stabilise for a year, that has this party's "Aye!"
As long as we have a semi-pro team representing Leythe and for as long as it takes, back it! One vote in.

Thank you for the reply Bongser and your thoughts on the subject of DR, we differ somewhat on the situation, whilst seemingly you are taking the personal approach and attaching it to Leigh's plight, I am quite happy to voice my unease with the more encompassing issues that DR delivers.
As I already stated I find it abhorrent that employee's of another club can be selected in preferance to an already staff member it should not happen, and in our case at Leigh next season, I would not be surprised if player's contracts had a clause for some of 'appearence money' only.
Also in these days when league positioning is financially all important it should not be allowed to happen that teams who participate in this process can gain an advantage over their contemporaries by playing guest player's, it also happens at the bottom of the division that a 'clean' (devoid of outside assistance) team may be relgated at the expense of a team utilising guests.
There are other implications too, do you recall the Challenge Cup game last season Fev v Hull when numerous player's were dismissed from both teams for misdeameanors, the judiciary panel deemed that the case to be answered by the Fev player's was such that they recieved match ban's, the Featherstone club did not feel any hurt by missing two of their better player's, they just drafted in two Leeds Rhino's employee's, how can that be right? and moreso allowable, this is just one example from an alleged quite a number that says to me it should be abolished.
And as a side issue, I am also very much in favour of all SL clubs employing 'A' teams - I would love it to be extended to the championship - but whilst the easy option of DR is available to SL clubs some will no doubt take advantage of that facillity.
