Who's getting personal Oggy luv. Read my post. We have a lot of fans and elderly ones at that who in the colder weather like to bring a flask or a butty because they can't afford the LSV prices. They have probably been doing it for 40-50 years. Now if they turn up on Sunday and find that they can't bring their hot drinks in to keep their old bones from the chill then they will rightly be a bit upset. All we are saying is that if they are now prohibited items would they please make another statement about the statement stating which unstated items are prohibited. Is that clearer.

This is what concerns people,will it be like airport security,where your not allowed to take any food or drink items in at all,and you have to pay
inflated costs one in departures.

Will stadium security at all venues use the "security threat" to confiscate all items,and make a roaring trade inside the ground?

I for one was not moaning about being searched - just like at the airport, I would rather be delayed by being searched than not get to my destination at all. My point is that the LSV need to make very clear what is meant by "prohibited items."

It's all a big crock if e - there's about as much chance of Muslims coming to set off a big bomb in the West Stand as Featherstone have of getting promoted. You must all sit at home quivering under your beds if you believe we're under that much threat! This is probably just the safety officer trying to justify his job or someone's got a mate that runs a security company. I for one don't feel that I need some jack-boot wearing kid fettling my bits or those of my family before I go to a rugby league game.

I suspect it has come from further afield than the safety officer, either way I have no issues.

I have huge issues with the word terrorist when linked to access to LSV. Are all fans going to be subject to a full body search to find that bomb or gun or knife to eliminate all risks? How long will a full body search take and times it by 5000 - this statement from Knowles is a total crock of sheeite and as I plan to go to the town hall tomorrow I will ensure my skids are in pristine condition in anticipation of the search as I enter the building, indeed more people go through ASDA than LSV so this could get interesting.

As spoken by Herr Public in 1935 Germany, if its wrong its wrong, if its right its right - simple but lets find out what the terrorist threat is at LSV and why is it so much higher than other council owned or public facilities locally?

Terrorist do target crowded places but the likelihood of the LSV being targeted is minute compared with tourist hotpsots, large shopping centres and big football grounds.

Fair enough, be prepared but I hope this isn't used as an excuse to stop folk bringing in their own food and drink.

On the basis of larger crowds, I assume the DW Stadium is at greater risk. What security measures are being put in place there?

If it's the same as the Etihad then none. I have not been searched or seen any evidence of body searches all season at City.

I will be looking forward to watching the VIP's getting felt up by some of the highly trained anti-terrorist operatives as they go into the LSV reception on Sunday - or do the LSV only think that the terrorists will blow up the riff-raff and not the prawn sandwich munchers???
