A lot of that rings true for me Derek. What we need on Sunday is a rollicking good performance against Sheffield. We SHOULD beat them, but you never know in these games! We too will be there to find out!

If Childs spent more time getting our opponents onside and, less time Lecturing our players we may stand a chance!. Last time we played the Eagles, Knowles spent more time in our lineout than his own! Childs is rotten for Leigh we must be careful and toe the line or we will be penalised out of the game. If teams are going to be allowed offside against us we must plan accordingly, we saw what the long kick did against wakey, lets have the short kicks over their offside men! Aye, the reason we have lost the first three games is the referees' abysmal performances, nowt to do with poor tactics, poor discipline, poor decision making, players' poor form etc. If the referees gave us a fair crack we would have six points instead of zilch.

Childs doesn't do offside, never looks left/right, defending teams get away with murder...no he's not biased, it's just his weak spot.

This criticism of Childs goes back to our Challenge Cup defeat to Catalan about 3 seasons ago.

I watched the game again on Centurion TV after that game and posted at the time after watching it again I thought he got the crucial decisions right despite not thinking so in real time.

My criticism of Mr Child is that he can get a decision right, but he's not consistent,then he's surrounded by players,then the crowd are booing,then he loses the plot and makes guess decisions giving penalties hoping he can regain his credibility,but by then he's given penalty after penalty,the games gone sour and everyone get's frustrated with the whole outcome of the game. Like I said in an earlier post, Iv'e yet to see him have a good game. For me, I think he needs to take a leaf out of Ben Thaler's book.

I am a Leigh fan and have been for donkey's ages, I have also been a referee. I can see faults in Leigh performances and faults in referees' performances. The average Leigh fan only sees faults in referees' performances and uses them as an excuse.

There are a few who do see the odd fault by their team but if they voice their opinion they are shouted down and ridiculed by the majority wearing cherry & white glasses.

This phenomenon is not unique to Leigh fans.
