The credit doesn't just go to the team though, who incidentally seem as though they would die for each other, but to the Coach & Coaching Staff, Directors & all those in the background who, while sharing no spotlight, make things happen.

For me this is NOT the major prize though & I would gladly exchange it now for 3rd or 4th place in the Middle 8s.

Being Champions again now will give the Club an even bigger media profile, hopefully enabling DB & PR to attract star players of real quality & attract bigger, better, more sponsorship deals to further drive Leigh RL on to Super Dooper League.

Its the one weak spot in this new format. The bottom 8 is a pointless exercise apart from the 2 or 3 teams at the bottom trying to avoid relegation. Doncaster are already as good as down, so you are looking at Batley or Hunslet in all probability (its a good job there are not 2 teams well adrift or else it would be a completely forgeone conclusion). For a team like Fev, it is going to be torturous, which is I suppose one good thing about it!

I fancy Dewsbury to win the Championship GF.

All depends on the strength of the teams. It is not going to be like that every year.

Fantastic season (so far). If when those fixtures came out & we looked at that tough 1st run of 5 games if you'd have said we'd only loose away at London, get a draw at Odsal, knock out 2 Super League teams on the way to the quarter finals of the Challenge Cup and win the league with a game to spare you'd have found it difficult to believe, but here we are. Fantastic team now bring on the Qualifiers and promotion.
