| The first half laid the platform and the second half was excellent and ruthless. Yet again we witnessed some very special tries.
The scary thing is that we can get better. When we turn it on for the full 80 - a team sometime soon will get a serous beating - come to think of it, they dished out a serious beating today. Let's not forget the bookies gave Fev only 12 points and most of us would have all taken any kind of win before kick off.
I like Andrew Dixon and his time will definitely come but I am Tommy Goulden's biggest fan and he didn't disappoint on his return today.
Fui's contribution improves every week - awesome - he literally frightens defences. He takes out four defenders nearly every tackle, a quick play the ball and the backs have open barn doors to run through. He backed himself to win the second year of his contract and he is doing just that. For any of us who had any doubts, he has already clearly shown that he has come to play - he is a top man.
The backs were great again - we look capable of scoring from anywhere - a nightmare for opposition coaches. However, as we all know, backs can only perform off the back of a good pack. Kurt Haggerty just does a great job every week and Jamie Action was a bit special today.
I now believe Jamie can go as far as he wants in our sport and he is in great surroundings with top level coaching advice and the likes of Olllie and Fui to learn from - what better environment to realise his potential.

| Brilliant result today! The ONLY thing that worries me at the moment is lack of depth at half-back, should injuries come a-calling at a critical time.

| Like Salford lad has stated we have two first class reserves who could walk into those positions.

What would most teams be like if their first choice 6 & 7 were injured?

Fucked strength in depth and peaking at the end of the season is more important.

Yup - quality half-backs are rare. Foster and Reynolds seem to be pretty able deputies but things will go up a couple of notches at least when we get to the Middle Eights. Nowt you can do about it, just hope we keep our key men fit.

| Not forgetting Gregg McNally can do a good job at Half back with Johnny Pownall at Full Back if injuries become serious. We've got cover pretty much everywhere which is what we'll need.

| Just watched the match on LCTV and I wish I'd been able to go....
First half was a good test for us (and just what we needed really) with Rovers giving it their all whilst they still had good fitness levels and a home crowd behind them. Saying that, Rovers weren't anything offensively like I'd imagined they'd be. Yeah, Leigh defended well, but Rovers weren't inventive enough - and maybe that comes with all the chopping and changing (DR etc).
Second half the fitness told (something many on here touched on before the match) and Rovers had nothing. They kept at it but the 2 points were ours.
Is that how it is going to be mostly this season then? Full time teams will come out on top most weeks? It looks that way to me, especially with fitness playign a huge part in rugby league.
Anyway, the Leigh lads did what they had to do. Dug deep first half and then let rip second. And their team spirit will also carry them a long way. It's obvious to see.
Some might have criticised Leigh's first half but for me, Leigh were just too eager to get going and made simple errors. Our young side are still learning and that first half will stand them in good stead. We had to defend well and we did. Rovers crossed just once all the match and didn't even look like crossing again, even in that first half, for all their endeavour.
All the Leigh lads played well with stand-out showings from Acton, Armstrong, Goulden, Fui, Wilkes, Haggerty and Penky.

Don't watch Fev normally only went to compare you with Bradford, I don't know what their normal attendances are at Fev but compared to the Bulls it was poor, at a guess I'd say about 3 times as many. With regards to the playing side of things it took you till the second half to dominate them, whereas the Bulls were on top from the start, maybe you'll have to wait till you've been to Odsal to get a true comparison.
