I have been watching my home town team since 1956.

I have talked to a couple of fans who think we should never have signed Gareth Hock.

I have told them I think they are wrong and told them why too.

Over the years our Board has done things I have not agreed with but I support our lads on the pitch for our club and Hock will be outstanding for us.

We would have been a club without ambition had we not signed Hock.

Your key word there is 'ambition'. You're right when you say that you need ambition to go after him. It could have been easy for you to come out with the platitudes of 'we went after him, but felt he wasn't right'. Hes still got a few games of his suspension to go, and will quite easily walk into any team at Championship level. A so called supporter told me in pub on Friday night,he had returned his season ticket due to the signing of Hock.

I've been on record saying I wasn't in agreement with the signing. I had my reasons and I stand by them. Will I be stopping Lisa and handing my season ticket in and stop watching MY Club? Will I hells teeth. My support for the club is bigger than ANY individual signing and I will always support MY club. He needs to do a lot to win me round but he will get the chance, just like anyone else who pulls on a Leigh shirt.
