Message for Andy. The Brian Bowman story was negative, but very real, for a bloke to turn his back on the Club after 65 years + is serious - How long did you think the story would survive outside the public domain, people are talking about it all over Leigh as we speak. I'm not sure why you thought the Annette story was negative, she gave 17 years service to the Club, left, but didn't get a mention or a "sorry to see you go" message either on the Clubs site or in the programme. It was not intended to have a go at the present BOM, on the contrary I think they are doing a super job for the club and the fans, but the Annette story has only just come to light, her departure from her position was under the previous regime. People now know she has left, nobody knows the reason nor do we want to know.
The BOM will come across plenty of negative problems as you go about your business - it is to be hoped the positive stories outweighs the bad ones.

Lets dig out all our past empolyees & ex players and add their gripes as to why they left etc.

For whatever reason Annette left it was under a different regime and should have been announced / thanked / printed etc at that time - NOT NOW. To post this story as you have DOES appear to be blaming the current BOM and ruins all the good work they are doing.

Why ever not?? Are you trying to sterilise this MB? You want to communicate news about Leigh RLFC, surely that should be good news or bad news NOT what Big Brother says he will allow.

Annette is a really lovely lady. Always had a smile on her face. Always happy to help with any query. I used to have some good chats and a laugh with Annette when I did some sponsorship of Leigh. She was Leigh through and through and it is sad that such a loyal servant has felt the need to leave because of a "clash of personalities" Maybe she wouldn't curtsey to you or sing an anthem of WE LOVE WIGGIN!!!
When a loyal employee of Leigh RLFC has left after 17 years, the fans should be told.

A MB is for topics of anything related to RL or Leigh RLFC NOT what you deem to think fit. And it is benefit NOT benefit.

You'd get far more respect if you at least stated who you were when bringing negative threads to the message board.

Since the BOM came in we've had far more positives than negatives I think its fair to say so using your rational id say so far so good.

If you become aware of a subject that may be potentially detrimental to the club why tell everyone about it and create a negative thread on here??? if you want to help the club PM or email me and I shall look into the situation in the correct way without potentially creating a storm.

I will say it again Annette's departure under previous ownership of the club has nothing to do with me or the new BOM & Chairman, as much as we aim to please everyone we simply cant be concerning ourselves with the past we are far to busy building a bright future so these things are better left in the past as they do nobody including the lady herself any good.

Last message from me on this subject. Thanks for your reply Andy, I know its nothing to do with the present BOM what happened to Annette but its still Leigh R.L. Club. Its like saying lets not talk about the wonderful Wembley success in 1971 or the fabulous Championship win in 1982 because "it was under a different regime"

To be fair Graham it seems from the replies above Andy and the new BOM wasn't involved when Annette left.
